We stayed for four nights. The atmosphere in the hotel is wonderful if you seek tranquility and relaxation. The Onsen was just great and we used it everday. Also the food quality was exceptionell (Kaiseki style). We were 100% satisfied with our stay.

Overlooking picturesque Kawaguchi Lake in the serene Mount Fuji area, Rakuyu boasts comfortable guest rooms and natural hot spring baths. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public area. I loved everything about this hotel from our beautiful bedroom facing the lake; the kimonos offered to us that they encouraged you to wear throughout the hotel; the buffet food that was offered for happy hour was plentiful and so delicious. We used their laundry facilities and the staff were kind enough to show us how to operate it; it was a little different than what we had ever used. They also helped us arrange the bus ride and train ride to Nagoya which we really appreciated. I would stay there again when visiting Japan, simply perfect.

Peacefully situated on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the scenic Mount Fuji area, Japanese-style hot spring hotel Kasuitei Ooya features rooms with stunning lake views, some boasting a private... We loved our stay here. The room was big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also great, the restaurant has an amazing view and the staff was very polite. We also enjoyed the private and public onsen, it was a great experience.

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. The staff was very accommondating and provided free pick up from the station. Upon arrival, they showed us to our room, which was clean and had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. During the dinner, the staff made futon beds for us, which my family all loved to sleep on. The dinner and breakfast we served were fantactic in taste and appearance. The staff even introduced the food to us before we started.

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. If you want to stay nearly in the temple, surrounded by cute shops and hidden restaurants, this is the place. The breakfast is a piece of art.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. This Ryokan is exceptional. So clean and well appointed. The family are so friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We loved our dinner in the dining room that we booked in advance. We were very fortunate to be visiting at Christmas time and the Christmas dinner had so much thought and time put into it, making it a very memorable meal and stay for our family.

Hotel Oyado Koto No Yume je od železniške postaje Takayama oddaljen le 2 min hoda. This was an amazing stay. The personnel is so nice and welcoming. The installations are beautiful, in Japanese style. The breakfast was amazing, even too much food. Many extras: inside and outside onsen, winter hanten to borrow, origami sets, complimentary sake and plum wine, … The location is good, next to the station and walking distance from the old town.
