Excellent Onsen, staff and meals (breakfast and dinner). Our host Sara was very nice to make us feel welcome. The hotel has a beautiful view to the lake and to the Fuji and is easily accessible from the station by foot or the complementary shuttle service.

Such a gorgeous place with the loveliest staff! We felt thoroughly pampered from head to toe during our stay. An incredible experience, please don’t miss out on the course dinner/breakfast! Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. If I could give 100 stars to this ryokan, I would do it! It was absolutely stunning experience in Nagano, the whole family and staff are extremely friendly, kind and polite. They receive lots of international travelers and they understand tourists needs. You MUST book dinners and breakfasts with them! It was amazing experience! On a practical note: rooms were authentic, hot water, heater were reliable. Location is superb, close to the temple and delicious snacks. This place is ideal for alternative travelers interested in local tradition and with the appreciation for culture and history: I wish the owners only the best customers!

The location is great, just a couple blocks away from the train station and 15 min walk from the historic area of the city

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. Location to Lake Kawaguchiko. The room is very spacious for family of 4 adults and 1 child. Private onsen and upper floor room for nice view of Fuji. Love the breakfast and dinner provided!
