The shuttle service from the ferry terminal, the private bath (free of charge) available for timeslot bookings, and the staff were all wonderful and exceptional. Amazing views. The private bath was a welcome amenity for us as we didn't realize it was something offered without extra charge. It has two showers and a bath with adjustable temperature (add hot or cold water to adjust).

Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. Our traditional tatami room was super cute! The staff were very friendly, and the public spa was great too. We also loved the small sweet surprise waiting for us.

The food was exceptional - very fresh, local, beautifully prepared and presented, a new menu every day. The location is superb, particularly with the autumn foliage. This is a classic ryokan in a temple complex in the hills. Surrounded by vegetation. Just very beautiful. And the staff were so friendly and helpful.

All units in the ryokan are equipped with a kettle. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. The units will provide guests with air conditioning, a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. Everything! Right from the reception, the amenities offered to the service of the staffs. Rooms were really clean and the in room dining is a must have. We booked the couple room with the en suite onsen and we can directly see the Torii gate from our room. The experience is exceptional. There is also access to the common area with many snacks and drinks provided. One of the most complete experience I have had in a hotel. The price might be on the steep end but definitely worth the experience!

Situated in Tottori, 48 km from Daijoji Temple, Kansuitei Kozeniya offers accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. It is set 7.4 km from Tottori Sand Dunes and provides luggage storage space. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. I experienced the best hospitality I've ever experienced in a small Japanese town. The ability to use the private hot spring without a reservation was the best part. The breakfast was also really classy. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

The 3-star ryokan has garden views and is 28 km from Saikon-ji Temple. The ryokan features family rooms. Charming traditional Japanese hotel in a great location near the ferry station. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice public bath. Great experience.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away. The BEST!
