Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. This hotel is a great budget option for a ryokan experience! I paid much less than what is quoted at other places but it definitely felt like a luxury experience. The traditional Japanese room is huge! And the dinner plus breakfast were very delicious and extravagant. I struggled to finish the kaiseki dinner. The staff were so helpful and polite. They even brought all my luggage to the room from the ferry terminal. The shuttle makes everything very convenient as it is farther from the main sights. The onsen was clean and very comfortable.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Beautiful room with an amazing view, lovely stuff and delicious food. Super convenient shuttle service to the ferry.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. This was our favorite hotel in Japan! We stayed only one night to get to see the island of Miyajima a bit more, and staying here was such a nice experience. In particular, the dinner at the hotel was so special and delicious! You need to message them to make the reservation some days in advance, but they were always very responsive. The facilities of the hotel were really great: the public baths, the rooftop terrace, the footbath café. Finally, the staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

This is a classic ryokan in a temple complex in the hills. Surrounded by vegetation. Just very beautiful. And the staff were so friendly and helpful.

We loved the coffee, drinks, ice cream and nuts that were available. I particularly liked being able to choose the type of pillow I like. Location amazing. The onsen was wonderful.

The atmosphere was calm and authentic, yet every detail felt refined. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the traditional Japanese breakfast was a real highlight — the salmon in particular was delicious. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and communicated well in English, which made everything smooth and stress-free. I truly loved every part of our stay. 100% recommend!
