Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Staying here was like entering another world. We were picked up by a very friendly and helpful driver who pointed out points of interest on the way up to the house on the hill. There we were greeted by a lovely lady who escorted us into the lobby were a friendly, young man checked us in. The lovely lady then escorted us up to our room and showed us were everything was, made us tea and made sure we had fitting yukatas to wear. The room was very spacious with an incredible view over to the iconic "floating" Tori gate. We spent our first our just sitting on the window sill with our tea taking in the breathtaking scenery. Dinner was an adventure of most excellent Japanese cuisine. The private onsen was lovely. It is a hop and a skip down some steps into the village and down to the sea and I recommend a walk at twilight and night to really enjoy the place before the daytripping crowds come in the morning. The staff were so nice and helpful and on the day of departure they offered us to leave our luggage with them while we went for a hike and when it was time to leave we could simply call them from the port and the driver brought it down from the hill in the little car. I would love to stay here again. Just perfect!

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Cosy clean apartment. Helpful friendly staff. Delicious Japanese style breakfast. Relaxing onsen with inside and outside pools. Everything was perfect!

I Onomichi, 25 kilometer fra Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, ligger Azumi Setoda, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. We were truly impressed by the stunning aesthetics of the hotel and the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their dedication shone through, especially when they helped us plan and book a delightful boat journey on the same day. This personalized attention made our experience truly memorable!

I Tsuyama, 2 minutters gange fra Tsuyama Wonder Museum, ligger The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Villa, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. By far the best hotel experience we had in our 1 month long trip to Japan. Hotel was easy to find with free parking and an excellent location with amazing service. Could have stayed here for a whole week with the castle views!

I Miyajima, 2,6 kilometer fra Tsutsumigaura-stranden, ligger Kinsuikan, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. We had an amazing experience here. We felt so pampered and welcomed. Dinner was great, everyone was so nice and help whenever was needed. Highly recommended.

Bare 2,3 kilometer fra Tsutsumigaura-stranden og 6 minutters gange fra Fem-etasjes pagode, i Miyajima, ligger Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa, som har en fellesstue. Good location. Clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Japanese breakfast was great.

I Tottori, bare 48 kilometer fra Daijoji Temple og 7,4 kilometer fra Tottori Sand Dunes ligger Kansuitei Kozeniya. The hospitality was exceptional.

I Onomichi, bare 25 kilometer fra Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine og 28 kilometer fra Saikon-ji Temple ligger Suminoe Ryokan. Old traditional Inn with a beautiful garden in the courtyard and views of the waterfront. Lots of common areas space. Our room had a garden view, was spacious, futons and pillows very comfortable. There is a good size fridge, a toilet, and a convenient sink for wash up and set all toiletries. Everything works well, wifi etc…onsen was very nice as well. The whole place is very clean and quiet, Breakfast and dinner are served in a room and you can enjoy the view of the garden if you leave the doors open, the food was very good, traditional Japanese. Fantastic location, basically across the street from the ferry we took for Onomichi. And by the bike path. The Main Street starts around the corner. All the staff is wonderful. The hostesses are incredibly kind, fun and caring, they will assist you with anything. They picked us up at the Setoda bus station, we were grateful. You can rent a bike nearby. Also I forgot my iPad on the JR train, they took the matter in their hands and I got it the next day!! We spent 3 nights and it was great. We will definitely come back if in the area again.

Hagi No Yado Tomoe ligger praktisk til i Hagi Onsen-kyo i Hagi, 12 minutters gange fra Kikugahama-stranden, 1,8 kilometer fra Shokasonjuku Academy og 1,8 kilometer fra Shoin Shrine. The atmosphere and the location are perfect to visit Hagi. The lady at the concierge was so helpful!
