Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel is a peek into what service used to be like before everything became corporate, impersonal, and digital. From the shuttle waiting to pick up our luggage while we went sightseeing on the island, to small touches of having our slippers ready with our names attached....everything was such a high level of customer service. We were brought our dinner to our room where we could relax and enjoy our meal. The beds were made by staff and everything was given consideration for our comfort. We were able to enjoy the grounds of the hotel and walk right to the ocean with deer trailing us curiously. It was a memorable time and we are so glad we chose to stay here even though it is away from the island restaurants and shops. The shuttle took us back and forth when we wanted to visit later at night so there was no problem with access. The breakfast was a typical Japanese one and delicious. Highly recommend the resort and wish we could return soon.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. We had the special guest room - wonderful view on the sea, the Tori and the mountains, lot of natural light & space, a bathtub in the room to take a hot bath (in addition to the private 30mn per room at the outdoor bath). Japanese dîner was delicious, the staff very professionnal, attentionate and caring all along our stay. The hôtel made sure to look for our luggages - either to collect them for us at the ferry pier when we arrived and to bring them back at the pier when taking our ferry to leave the Island - allowing us not to have to carry them and enjoy the walk and our day in the Island What a beautiful moment !

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. The bedroom is clean and comfortable. The dining room has character and the reception is spacious.

I Onomichi, 25 kilometer fra Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, ligger Azumi Setoda, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. Wonderful hospitality in a beautiful place. The staff, the rooms, the food - all excellent.

I Tsuyama, 2 minutters gange fra Tsuyama Wonder Museum, ligger The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Villa, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. By far the best hotel experience we had in our 1 month long trip to Japan. Hotel was easy to find with free parking and an excellent location with amazing service. Could have stayed here for a whole week with the castle views!

Shokinkan tilbyr gratis WiFi over hele overnattingsstedet og rom med klimaanlegg i Yasugi. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay the most comfortable. Would travel here for the food alone, what a feast! (tip: do a very light lunch prior). These hard working people and their outstanding building and surroundings really need more international visits. So, if you’re in the market for a Adachi museum visit. Please consider this ryokan as your stay. I would recommend a 2 night stay as you can explore the temple grounds and unwind. In other words; It’s been absolutely perfect. どうもありがとう。

I Miyajima, 2,6 kilometer fra Tsutsumigaura-stranden, ligger Kinsuikan, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. The free drinks and ice cream on the rooftop bar was a nice touch. Great location. Easy walk from the ferry and to the sites of Myajima island.

Bare 2,3 kilometer fra Tsutsumigaura-stranden og 6 minutters gange fra Fem-etasjes pagode, i Miyajima, ligger Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa, som har en fellesstue. Just wonderful. Great interiors and our room was wonderful, clean, friendly staff and a really good Japanese breakfast. Unfortunately we could just stay one night.

I Tottori, bare 48 kilometer fra Daijoji Temple og 7,4 kilometer fra Tottori Sand Dunes ligger Kansuitei Kozeniya. beautiful traditional style hostel, kind and attentive staff, and lovely private onsen!

I Onomichi, bare 25 kilometer fra Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine og 28 kilometer fra Saikon-ji Temple ligger Suminoe Ryokan. Old traditional Inn with a beautiful garden in the courtyard and views of the waterfront. Lots of common areas space. Our room had a garden view, was spacious, futons and pillows very comfortable. There is a good size fridge, a toilet, and a convenient sink for wash up and set all toiletries. Everything works well, wifi etc…onsen was very nice as well. The whole place is very clean and quiet, Breakfast and dinner are served in a room and you can enjoy the view of the garden if you leave the doors open, the food was very good, traditional Japanese. Fantastic location, basically across the street from the ferry we took for Onomichi. And by the bike path. The Main Street starts around the corner. All the staff is wonderful. The hostesses are incredibly kind, fun and caring, they will assist you with anything. They picked us up at the Setoda bus station, we were grateful. You can rent a bike nearby. Also I forgot my iPad on the JR train, they took the matter in their hands and I got it the next day!! We spent 3 nights and it was great. We will definitely come back if in the area again.
