Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. I had a wonderful time at Kikunoya. The bath was great and the dinner was amazing. Special thanks to Azusa Yamamoto for being so attentive and helpful.

I Onomichi, 25 kilometer fra Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, ligger Azumi Setoda, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. Just fabulous from start to finish.

I Tsuyama, 2 minutters gange fra Tsuyama Wonder Museum, ligger The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Villa, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. The place is good. The price is good as well.

I Miyajima, 2,6 kilometer fra Tsutsumigaura-stranden, ligger Kinsuikan, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. Staying at the Kinsuikan was a magical time. Being in the middle of everything, getting the traditional experience as well as able to use the onsen.

Bare 2,3 kilometer fra Tsutsumigaura-stranden og 6 minutters gange fra Fem-etasjes pagode, i Miyajima, ligger Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa, som har en fellesstue. Lovely traditional style ryokan with tasteful interior design.

I Tottori, bare 48 kilometer fra Daijoji Temple og 7,4 kilometer fra Tottori Sand Dunes ligger Kansuitei Kozeniya. The hospitality was exceptional.

I Onomichi, bare 25 kilometer fra Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine og 28 kilometer fra Saikon-ji Temple ligger Suminoe Ryokan. Old traditional Inn with a beautiful garden in the courtyard and views of the waterfront. Lots of common areas space. Our room had a garden view, was spacious, futons and pillows very comfortable. There is a good size fridge, a toilet, and a convenient sink for wash up and set all toiletries. Everything works well, wifi etc…onsen was very nice as well. The whole place is very clean and quiet, Breakfast and dinner are served in a room and you can enjoy the view of the garden if you leave the doors open, the food was very good, traditional Japanese. Fantastic location, basically across the street from the ferry we took for Onomichi. And by the bike path. The Main Street starts around the corner. All the staff is wonderful. The hostesses are incredibly kind, fun and caring, they will assist you with anything. They picked us up at the Setoda bus station, we were grateful. You can rent a bike nearby. Also I forgot my iPad on the JR train, they took the matter in their hands and I got it the next day!! We spent 3 nights and it was great. We will definitely come back if in the area again.

Bare 13 minutters gange fra Momijidani Park og 600 meter fra The great Torii ligger Oyado Tsukiusagi, som tilbyr overnatting i Miyajima. Everything was exceptional. We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.
