Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. This was an amazing hotel/ryokan with incredible amenities - great hot springs/onsen, really cool retro video games, and huge clean cozy rooms in perfect condition. I could have stayed a week very happily. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful and speaks English fluently.

Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. The outdoor onsen and setting in the mountains with snow falling around us.

Located in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Oyado Yukizumi provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. next to the car park and bus terminal, walking distance to all attractions. Excellent service, staffs are very friendly and always smile on the face. They will bring the breakfast to your room.

Boasting garden views, Ryutakuzenji 宿坊 offers accommodation with balcony, around 28 km from Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Everything was wonderful. We were warmly greeted by the head monk and his staff. The facilities were amazing and the rooms gorgeous. The futons were comfortable and the food was genuinely the best we have had in Japan. Turns out the priest was trained as a chef in Kyoto. They were great catering to our vegan and gluten free needs.

Offering massage services and mountain view, Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) is situated in Kusatsu, 45 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park and 14 km from Mt. Kusatsu Shirane. The best staff working there by far. I stayed at 5 different places in Japan, but this was my favorite. The staff was very helpful, understanding and knowledgeable of how to guide a first time traveler.

Situated in Shibukawa in the Gunma region, with Ishidan-gai Steps and Ikaho Ropeway nearby, Chigira Jinsentei features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. The food was really good, the onsen was excellent and no complaints about the location!

Offering river views, Minakamisansou is set in the Tanigawa Onsen district of Minakami, 36 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort and 39 km from Naeba Ski Resort. If you are looking for a true japanese experience its a good choice. Baths are divided in man and woman but there are rooms with private baths 24h.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Super friendly staff and delicious breakfast! I don't know if that is the case for everyone, but I got a different breakfast on the 2 mornings I was there. It's also super close to all the popular locations and the bus station.

Situated in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Soumeian features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. This hotel is close by Otaki no Yu, and reasonably walkable to the center of the village. The space was clearly remodeled recently and so the rooms are super nice, clean, and it's clear that the hotel has spent great attention to detail! I also really liked the ease of use of the onsen facilities. I have been to many japanese style inns and this was the most clean, orderly, and good working condition that I've encountered. I also thought it was nice that there are only 4 rooms here so it never felt busy or crowded. The staff were also all very kind and helpful. They made a great breakfast both days, with good variety of dishes and high quality of ingredients. I had a great stay and would definitely choose this hotel again!

The most incredible ryokan experience I’ve ever had. The service, the food, the room, the location, the premises. What a pleasure to have experienced this.
