Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. This was easily one of the best - if not the best - hotel experience I have ever had in my life! The staff was super friendly, took care of our baggage while we went sightseeing (they even offered us umbrellas!) and then came to get us in the evening to bring us to the hotel. The included dinner and breakfast were amazing, it really was a luxurious experience! The onsen accepted tatoos so another plus. The seaside view was beautiful even if the weather was not ideal.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Everything was simply excellent and absolutely perfect. We felt luxuriously pampered in this beautiful ryokan. Its position is great, just minutes from the Itsukushima shrine and the great torii. It is perched on a hill, so rooms have the most perfect view on the torii and the sea. However, this is not an issue with luggage as there is an on-call free shuttle service from/to the port, that even picks you up on arrival, or delivers your luggage when leaving. Kaiseki dinner and japanese-style breakfast were highlights of our stay and absolutely fairly priced considering the half-board rate of the room. We also enjoyed the private onsen for a thirty minute slot that we could choose at check-in. Our room was very spacious - we guessed it could host 3 more people, with beautiful tatami and complete with yukatas to wear and a nice welcome tea served to us upon arrival. Amazing and unforgettable stay!

Cosy clean apartment. Helpful friendly staff. Delicious Japanese style breakfast. Relaxing onsen with inside and outside pools. Everything was perfect!

Located just 25 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, Azumi Setoda provides accommodation in Onomichi with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Just fabulous from start to finish.

Located in Miyajima with Five Storey Pagoda and Itsukushima Shrine nearby, Kinsuikan provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Location, room size and amenities, terrace and onsen on site

Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Miyajima, 2.3 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach, 500 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, as well as 700 metres from Itsukushima... We had a very nice stay at the guesthouse. The owners are really nice people and the room was great for a one night stay. Everything was clean and there were lots of amenities. The location is close to the pier and the convenient store.

Situated in Onomichi and only 25 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, Suminoe Ryokan features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Old traditional Inn with a beautiful garden in the courtyard and views of the waterfront. Lots of common areas space. Our room had a garden view, was spacious, futons and pillows very comfortable. There is a good size fridge, a toilet, and a convenient sink for wash up and set all toiletries. Everything works well, wifi etc…onsen was very nice as well. The whole place is very clean and quiet, Breakfast and dinner are served in a room and you can enjoy the view of the garden if you leave the doors open, the food was very good, traditional Japanese. Fantastic location, basically across the street from the ferry we took for Onomichi. And by the bike path. The Main Street starts around the corner. All the staff is wonderful. The hostesses are incredibly kind, fun and caring, they will assist you with anything. They picked us up at the Setoda bus station, we were grateful. You can rent a bike nearby. Also I forgot my iPad on the JR train, they took the matter in their hands and I got it the next day!! We spent 3 nights and it was great. We will definitely come back if in the area again.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. Everything was exceptional. We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

Located in Miyajima, 400 metres from Five Storey Pagoda and 600 metres from Itsukushima Shrine, Itsumoya offers a garden and air conditioning. Amazing house in the heart of Miyajima, cozy and fully equipped. The host is super nice and helpful. We had the best time. Very quiet during the night.

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Everything was fantastic - the rooms came with Yukatas, pajamas, vests, tea, water, a towel bag and one face wash set. The breakfast in the morning was unbelievable - that alone made the price well worth it, but add in the baths and lovely rooms & decor - just an unbelievable stay.
