The people that work at Kurumiya are extremely nice and friendly and everybody does more than just the best to please the guests. We felt like royalty staying at this place, the breakfast was sensational and the room was super clean and beautiful. The onsen was great and it will be missed. We hope to return to Kurumiya again one day and stay at the place we absolutely fell in love with.

They bring all guests together in the bar they started In the town and will take you to the restaurant and show you around. Every evening, we met new people and they made sure we were never bored.There are free bikes to use and in the summer you can go fishing with them. Probably the best BB we have stayed at. Also free laundry and breakfast is a plus

Excellent experience staying at a traditional Japanese inn. The staff were exceptional, the grounds were beautiful and quiet, and the private house with the onsen bath was lovely.

Located a 5-minute drive from JR Kanazawa Station, Ryokan Yamamuro offers Japanese-style guestrooms with free WiFi. Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle Park can both be reached with a 5-minute walk. Bungo and his mother runs this amazing ryokan and the familial feeling is everywhere and the place is very welcoming for travelers

Set in Kanazawa, 400 metres from Kanazawa Castle, Kinjohro features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The Japanese breakfast was fantastic. The western breakfast was subpar in comparison. I would have loved to have had some homemade jam with my bread. Usually western breakfast does not need olive oil with their bread. Olive oil for dipping is more of a lunch/dinner option.

Boasting a 200-year history, Motoyu Ishiya features classic architecture, an original Noh stage and a garden. This ryokan was the highlight of our trip. The 5-person room offered a large space with closets, terraces, low and high tables, wooden wall ornaments, and painted sliding doors, for a memorable traditional stay. The room included the standard toilet and washroom, except for the shower. The public bath should be used for showering and bathing. Meals were served in a beautiful dining room at the agreed time. Breakfast and dinner included numerous small portions of traditional food. Although it was fish and vegetable-heavy, everything tasted good, and the meal size was more than enough for everyone. During dinner, the staff prepared futon beds in the room. They were very comfortable and we had a great sleep. However, futons are harder than mattresses and encourage sleeping on your back. The onsen was the main attraction. There were the inside and the outside hot baths, and the cold bath. The water is very dark and not transparent. It's supposed to have a very high pH and be good for skin. I believe this onsen offers great value for a reasonable price, probably because its location is not particularly famous.
