Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. The property was beautiful. The beds were clean and comfortable. There is an incredibly well stocked kitchen with very cute appliances and a spacious lounge area with games and books.

I loved: - The location near the train station makes it the perfect place to stay after a long day exploring the destination. It is located in the center of the village. - Many options of restaurants, bars, cafes and grocery stores near the hotel. - The room was spotless, spacious, well-equipped, and made us feel "at home" in a typical Japanese style. - The area is tranquil and offers a charming view of the village and the mountain. - The onsen is located on the ground floor for a max. of 6 users at a time.

If you want to experience traditional Japanese ryokan - that’s the place! Food is amazing, Onsen is great + private, rooms are fairly spacious! Staff and overall experience is outstanding, but better to know some Japanese

Nice Japanese breakfast, friendly staff who could speak English (and French, in the case of one fellow!) if you don't speak Japanese very well (I'm a beginner). The twin room is very nice and comfortable. Easy access to a subway line just a short walk away to a station.

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. This was one of the best hotels we stayed at. The service, the food, the room and the location were top notch! We booked the room with a private onsen and we loved it! The room was very comfortable and everything was new and in very good condition! We had breakfast and dinner included, which is highly recommended and necessary since there is nothing nearby to eat. The buffet offered a very good variety and a good mix between western and oriental food. Everything was very tasty and of very good quality! Regarding the facilities, we did not try the public onsen since we had the private one in the room but it was very comfortable and with water from real hot springs! The location is very good, you can easily access everything there is to do in Hakone! (It is necessary to book a transfer with the hotel itself to get there from the main train station, since it is somewhat complicated to get there by public transport)

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Amazing place with an entire room full of games!

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The staff were so friendly and always happy to help. Perfect for a relaxing break!

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Amazing experience. If you are looking for a Ryokan experience look no further, I can't recommend it enough. Also private onsen and dinner is a must!!

Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. The breakfasts were excellent. The staff became like good friends. It felt like more than just a business; the place has heart. The baths were a wonderful option, relaxing and romantic. We absolutely love The Edo Sakura and will be staying there every time we visit Tokyo.

Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. You really have to stay here at least 1 night. You will never live your life the same after experiencing this onsen house. You can not imagine or fathom how excellent the accommodation, onsen, breakfast, and dinner is. This goes beyond what you can imagine, this is a dream come true.
