Located in Matsushima, 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Matsushima Koumura features accommodation with a hot tub and a public bath. Great hotel in Matsushima, loved my stay there! I arrived a little bit earlier than expected and the team helped me doing an early check-in. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Location is great too: it's a short walking distance to the city centre and also close to the Matsushima and Takagimachi JR stations. The hotel team was outstanding: the couple managing the ryokan are great and the rest of the team did a very very good job too. Very good value for money. Highly recommended!

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. Excellent hospitality and amazing dinner and breakfast, you cannot be disappointed

Located right in front of Matsushima Bay, Komatsukan Kofu-tei offers accommodations with free wired internet access. The view from the room and from the onsen is really good! All staff are very polite and helpful. Location very near to the tourist spots.

The staff were all accommodating and the experienced felt very personalized. I could feel the traditional omotenashi service I rarely feel in ryokans in Tokyo nowadays.

竹泉荘 Chikusenso Onsen provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 41 km of the Site of Sendai Castle. Chikusenso Onsen is a beautiful retreat where you find yourself surrounded by both nature and tranquility. All of the amenities are impeccable and it is nearly impossible to not be relaxed during your time there.

Located in Sendai, TAOYA Akiu offers 4-star accommodation with an open-air bath. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and a lift. The all-inclusive system was excellent. My foreign friend was thrilled by the all-you-can-drink sake. I was also surprised that, despite the place being nearly full throughout our stay, he was the only foreigner there. Is it because it's the Tohoku region? There really were very few foreign tourists. Free bus from Sendai station was great too.
