Located in Matsushima, 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Matsushima Koumura features accommodation with a hot tub and a public bath. Beautiful, traditional ryokan not far from Matsushima Station. You can get to the main attractions in Matsushima on foot in about 20-30 minutes comfortably. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating. Great experience!

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. The hospitality of the staff, they are so nice and welcoming.

Located right in front of Matsushima Bay, Komatsukan Kofu-tei offers accommodations with free wired internet access. The service and room was very good. When we called from the train station near by, the hotel fixed shuttle bus for us, which was very helpful. It was very good for family with small children as well. We all enjoy very much together. The view from the room was excellent.

Boasting mountain views, Sakunami Onsen Yuzukushi Salon Ichinobo features accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a terrace, around 27 km from Sendai City Community Support Center. Everything was absolutely wonderful, from the kind staff, food, room, and amenities.

Suzukiya Ryokan offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 49 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 47 km of the Site of Sendai Castle. Onsen was high class, both inside and outside, Nice and hot too. Dinner and breakfast is a must, very nice traditional meal sets which was nicely presented with great service. Overall experience was so good we will ensure a return visit if it fits in with our travel route through our next trip to Japan. Lovely experience.

The staff were amazing, catering to every need. The place is quiet and very zen. It is perfect for those looking for peace and want to meditate. The onsen facilities are clean and heavenly. There was a private onsen in my room and I enjoyed it ALOT.

Set in Zao and only 38 km from Sendai City Community Support Center, かっぱの宿旅館三治郎 offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. They were prepared to deal with guests of the world via technology and an open-minded attitude. The food was a delicious collection of the local ocean's best and the service excellent and friendly. We had an amazing time there, especially for a first stop on our Japan journey. Thank you! :D

竹泉荘 Chikusenso Onsen provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 41 km of the Site of Sendai Castle. Exceeded all expectations. The half board meals are extremely generous. I could not eat all the Wagyu beef. Everything worked like in a dream. Will come back every year now.

Located in Sendai, TAOYA Akiu offers 4-star accommodation with an open-air bath. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and a lift. We booked a half board accommodation, include buffet breakfast and dinner, afternoon light snack with free flow of drinks. Huge room with good view. Onsen is spectacular. hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free hotel shuttle bus to Sendai station, need to book in advance.
