Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. The staff were incredibly accommodating, their care and attention made our visit relaxed and joyful, the Kaiseki was excellent and well balanced, showcasing local delicacies and providing an excellent view into tradition. Being able to use the Onsen with a tattoo and not having to cover it up was a pleasant surprise, the Onsen was excellent and very clean (I only used the outside pool). We were picked up by their free shuttle bus at the Shinkansen station and dropped off as well. We have to thank all of the staff, but a special mention should be given to Meguro, who took great care of us.

Located right in front of Matsushima Bay, Komatsukan Kofu-tei offers accommodations with free wired internet access. It’s a ryokan style hotel, with onsen, which allow tattoos and a private onsen too, which is amazing! The views of the ocean are breathtaking, as well as the many small islands that fill the horizon. The staff are beyond amazing and the room was just fantastic! 10/10!

Boasting mountain views, Sakunami Onsen Yuzukushi Salon Ichinobo features accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a terrace, around 27 km from Sendai City Community Support Center. Everything was absolutely wonderful, from the kind staff, food, room, and amenities.

Suzukiya Ryokan offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 49 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 47 km of the Site of Sendai Castle. Onsen was high class, both inside and outside, Nice and hot too. Dinner and breakfast is a must, very nice traditional meal sets which was nicely presented with great service. Overall experience was so good we will ensure a return visit if it fits in with our travel route through our next trip to Japan. Lovely experience.

Situated in Sendai in the Miyagi region, Saryo Souen features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Great and I mean GREAT service. The staff were amazing, catering to every need. The place is quiet and very zen. It is perfect for those looking for peace and want to meditate. The onsen facilities are clean and heavenly. There was a private onsen in my room and I enjoyed it ALOT.

Set in Zao and only 38 km from Sendai City Community Support Center, かっぱの宿旅館三治郎 offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Really friendly staff and also clean property.

竹泉荘 Chikusenso Onsen provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 41 km of the Site of Sendai Castle. Breakfast was huge, healthy and very tasty, a solid foundation for a day full of attractions. Coffee very good, but thats obvious in Japan, perfectly composed with fresh food, light but caloric.

Located in Matsushima, 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Matsushima Koumura features accommodation with a hot tub and a public bath. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming! The public onsen was clean and excellent.

Located in Sendai, TAOYA Akiu offers 4-star accommodation with an open-air bath. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and a lift. We booked a half board accommodation, include buffet breakfast and dinner, afternoon light snack with free flow of drinks. Huge room with good view. Onsen is spectacular. hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free hotel shuttle bus to Sendai station, need to book in advance.
