Located in Matsushima, 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Matsushima Koumura features accommodation with a hot tub and a public bath. A really wonderful hotel in Matsushima - great for those traveling with a rental car. The hotel is clean and comfortable with all the essentials you may need. The traditional Japanese style rooms are large and the local area is very peaceful. The indoor hot tub is very relaxing, and nicely matches the interior design of the hotel. The staff are the highlight - they are all really polite and friendly. There are also two friendly dogs! This hotel employs young staff with varying abilities - all of whom were very attentive. This is a hotel worth supporting, and after staying here I feel like part of the family!

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. The hospitality of the staff, they are so nice and welcoming.

Located right in front of Matsushima Bay, Komatsukan Kofu-tei offers accommodations with free wired internet access. This ryokan style hotel was one of our best experiences in Japan. The views over the islands of Matsushima were superb - truly one of the 3 great views of Japan! Our room overlooked the famous Fukuurabashi bridge through a picturesque screen of the twisted pine trees that make this view so iconic. The kaiseki style meals were superb - delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish was a delight of discovery, awe and wonder. We enjoyed a private onsen bath with sunset views and also visited each of the other public baths over the next day. The views over the bay are simply stunning.

Boasting mountain views, Sakunami Onsen Yuzukushi Salon Ichinobo features accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a terrace, around 27 km from Sendai City Community Support Center. Everything was absolutely wonderful, from the kind staff, food, room, and amenities.

Suzukiya Ryokan offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 49 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 47 km of the Site of Sendai Castle. The room, the onsen, the food and the services were all excellent!

The staff were amazing, catering to every need. The place is quiet and very zen. It is perfect for those looking for peace and want to meditate. The onsen facilities are clean and heavenly. There was a private onsen in my room and I enjoyed it ALOT.

竹泉荘 Chikusenso Onsen provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 41 km of the Site of Sendai Castle. Breakfast and Dinner were excellent

Located in Sendai, TAOYA Akiu offers 4-star accommodation with an open-air bath. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and a lift. The spacious, clean room. The relaxation areas such as the lounge and the library. We liked the onsen, both the indoor and outdoor ones. The buffet dinner was excellent. It had many options and delicacies, both in western and Japanese. The dining area was spacious, serving staff were excellent. The free drinks and snacks in the lounge and the library for retreat were excellent bonus.
