The property is beautiful, cared for by two wonderful, heart-warming ladies who are always gentle, attentive, and ready to welcome you with a genuine smile. The facilities are spotless and cozy. The onsen is private and completely tattoo friendly, you simply close the door and enjoy the bath all to yourself. Thoughtful toiletries are provided both in the bathing area and in your room, along with comfortable yukatas and even traditional socks for the evening. There is so much heart in this ryokan: in every detail, in every gesture, and in every smile, even in the little dog who greets you upon arrival. From your room, you can admire a lovely view of the city, surrounded by the peaceful mountain where the ryokan rests, and even enjoy the charming cable car ride that takes you up the hillside.

Location is great, right in Nara park. Staff was helpful and understanding of the language barrier. Let us drop our bags off early before check-in. Great food and service for both supper and breakfast. Nice big room for the two of us. They were nice enough to order our taxi for us the morning we left so we didn't have to worry about hiking back to the train (or bus) station.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. A very comfortable tatami-mat room with a deep full soak tub. The location in regards to Nara Park was fantastic and I had a wonderful view of Tōdai-ji in the mornings. Things were very quiet, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was everything it could be including walking me through all the amenities they had to offer. They also provided local area maps with all the main attractions and let me know how best to navigate what I wanted to do which helped quite a bit with planning how I spent my time.

We arrived early before check-in . Dropped our luggage, and the hotel is right at the entrance of the park. The staff is very polite and we had a wonderful tradiontal Japanese breakfast.

Staying at Hotobil was one of my favorite parts of our whole trip to Japan - and the food was straight up the BEST (and we ate a lot of great meals out there). The location is super easy to access, just a minute away from the main tourist-friendly loop bus through town, in a quiet residential neighborhood - as soon as we stepped through the door, we felt at home, like we were visiting family, not a hotel. Our host is the nicest, most helpful lady, and the best cook. She was also so fast responding to our questions! My dad and I are both fish-ambivalent vegetarians and we made a last-minute request for breakfast (pictured! yes all that just for breakfast!) as well as dinner just a few days before we got there and as I said, they were the two best meals we had all trip. We stayed in the Japanese style tatami room, which was beautiful and almost absurdly spacious for two, with super comfy mattresses and fluffy pillows and duvets. It was enchanting, and we wished we were staying a second night (and yes, there's more than enough to see in Nara for two days).

Kasuga Hotel se nachází 2 minuty chůze od nádraží Kintetsu-Nara, 5 minut jízdy taxíkem od vlakového nádraží JR Nara a 5 minut chůze od chrámu Kofuku-ji. Nabízí japonskou kuchyni a krásné veřejné... Very nice hotel, amazing staff (they helped me sort out an issue i had, not regarding the hotel). Public bath is good, Japanese breakfast was good. We stayed in a Japanese style room and it was good looking and comfortable

Tsukihitei se nachází v lese Kasugayama Primeval, který je na seznamu světového dědictví UNESCO. It was a wonderful experience staying at Tsukihitei, very private and in the middle of Nara Park. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; they took care of every single detail, a unique Omotenashi experience. The food was also exceptional. I just wish I had arrived earlier to enjoy the facility a bit more.

What an incredible stay. From the moment you walk in the staff, decor, layout is perfect. A magical experience from start to finish. The staff were so polite and informative. The room was exceptional and a real snap shot into traditional Japanese style. The facilities like the onsen were perfect. So clean and well presented. Very quiet and peaceful with great views. The traditional breakfast was delightful and a real joy. One of the best experiences ever. Amazing.
