The property is beautiful, cared for by two wonderful, heart-warming ladies who are always gentle, attentive, and ready to welcome you with a genuine smile. The facilities are spotless and cozy. The onsen is private and completely tattoo friendly, you simply close the door and enjoy the bath all to yourself. Thoughtful toiletries are provided both in the bathing area and in your room, along with comfortable yukatas and even traditional socks for the evening. There is so much heart in this ryokan: in every detail, in every gesture, and in every smile, even in the little dog who greets you upon arrival. From your room, you can admire a lovely view of the city, surrounded by the peaceful mountain where the ryokan rests, and even enjoy the charming cable car ride that takes you up the hillside.

Kotono yado Musashino offers accommodation in Nara, and is located a 11-minute drive from Nara Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. They gave special care as we were on honeymoon. Enjoyed the great service. Free entry to the hillside with picnic mat and breakfast bento. Superb! They also helped us call for taxi and was overall very attentive.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. A very comfortable tatami-mat room with a deep full soak tub. The location in regards to Nara Park was fantastic and I had a wonderful view of Tōdai-ji in the mornings. Things were very quiet, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was everything it could be including walking me through all the amenities they had to offer. They also provided local area maps with all the main attractions and let me know how best to navigate what I wanted to do which helped quite a bit with planning how I spent my time.

Offering public baths, Yoshidaya Ryokan よしだや is situated in front of Sarusawa-ike Pond. Kofuku-ji Temple is just a 2-minute walk away. Free WiFi is available on site. The front desk staff were SUPERIOR, the room was beyond our expectations. Located in the heart of NARA, it was a short walk to all of the attractions and downtown shopping/restaurant area. I can't say enough about the superior level of customer care we experienced and wish I could remember her name to give her credit directly.

Featuring 1-star accommodation, Hotobil B&B 潤 An inn that enjoys breakfast is located in Nara, 2.1 km from Nara Station and 21 km from Iwafune Shrine. Staying at Hotobil was one of my favorite parts of our whole trip to Japan - and the food was straight up the BEST (and we ate a lot of great meals out there). The location is super easy to access, just a minute away from the main tourist-friendly loop bus through town, in a quiet residential neighborhood - as soon as we stepped through the door, we felt at home, like we were visiting family, not a hotel. Our host is the nicest, most helpful lady, and the best cook. She was also so fast responding to our questions! My dad and I are both fish-ambivalent vegetarians and we made a last-minute request for breakfast (pictured! yes all that just for breakfast!) as well as dinner just a few days before we got there and as I said, they were the two best meals we had all trip. We stayed in the Japanese style tatami room, which was beautiful and almost absurdly spacious for two, with super comfy mattresses and fluffy pillows and duvets. It was enchanting, and we wished we were staying a second night (and yes, there's more than enough to see in Nara for two days).

Incredible location in a very quiet part of town. Lots of temples in the direct vicinity. We were able to participate in temple rituals in the morning, and dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Traditional Japanese Breakfast Room amenities. Available skincare on the room are amazing Rooftop view, private and public bath are the best.

A 2-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station, a 5-minute taxi ride from JR Nara Train Station and a 5-minute walk from Kofuku-ji Temple, Kasuga Hotel features Japanese cuisine and beautiful hot public... Perfect location and still completely quiet and refined. The beds were unbelievably comfortable!

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Service and food were exceptional. The beauty and location in the ancient forest were exceptional.

Located just 1.8 km from Nara Station, Ryokan Asukasou at the entrancne of Nara park provides accommodation in Nara with access to an open-air bath, a shared lounge, as well as a lift. The location and the staff :) The futon experience was excellent They gave us 500 yen discount coupon for the souvenir store :)
