A great place to spend your day away from big cities and sights flooded with tourists. This is a ryokan so you get a nice futon bed, tatami floor, yukatas. The view from our room was great! We’ve also ordered a delicious Japanese style breakfast. The public bath is actually two rooms that have a lock, so you could go inside with your family together. This was very nice for me because I’ve been traveling with my partner and a 1,5y son. The area is quiet and nice. There is a temple you need to go uphill. The area is mountainous with lots of stairs. You take the cable car to get there. Keep in mind that there are no supermarkets there, you need to go down by cable car to Ikoma. But there are some restaurants and cafes so you won’t get hungry. I think it’s even more beautiful in fall, you can enjoy momiji. We’ve stayed in late March and the weather was not the best, like 10-15 C. So we’ve used a heater in the room and in the bath. Don’t hesitate to ask the owner to show you how to use it

Kotono yado Musashino offers accommodation in Nara, and is located a 11-minute drive from Nara Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. I loved everything about it. The food was exceptional.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. From the very first moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful decor/landscaping and hospitable staff. The staff member(s) were excellent in explaining how to stay in a ryokan (as visitors with no experience, this was very helpful) by showing us around our room. We tried their restaurant's traditional Japanese breakfast and it was superb! Additionally, we booked a private onsen and it was so clean and relaxing, offering stunning views of the city. I cannot recommend this stay enough, we can't wait to go back!

Offering public baths, Yoshidaya Ryokan よしだや is situated in front of Sarusawa-ike Pond. Kofuku-ji Temple is just a 2-minute walk away. Free WiFi is available on site. It was incredible. We arrived early before check-in . Dropped our luggage, and the hotel is right at the entrance of the park. The staff is very polite and we had a wonderful tradiontal Japanese breakfast.

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. The most incredible setting!The room was absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious and the service exceptional!

A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. everything was over the top! the place is beautiful, we stayed in the new rooms which the design is another league, keeping the Japanese style, with mountains views. The meal service was the best experience I had in Japan, also traditional. The staff is hyper kind. Is the best Ryokan experience I had. Definitely will be back!

A 2-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station, a 5-minute taxi ride from JR Nara Train Station and a 5-minute walk from Kofuku-ji Temple, Kasuga Hotel features Japanese cuisine and beautiful hot public... Perfect location and still completely quiet and refined. The beds were unbelievably comfortable!

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Service and food were exceptional. The beauty and location in the ancient forest were exceptional.
