Situated 200 metres from Aharen Beach, 400 metres from Hijuishi Beach and 2 km from Tokashiku Beach, kamekamehouse offers accommodation set in Tokashiki. The staff is great, kind and welcoming. They pick you up at the port and take you back when you return. They were very helpful and recommend us a great tour to see turtles at Tokashiku beach (and we did saw one!) and then they picked us up there and took us directly to the port. They also arranged a special breakfast for us, because we are vegetarians and it was very tasty. The rooms are simple, but they are very clean. Is very close to Aharen beach, Izakayas and the small supermarket.

Situated in Onna, 400 metres from Nakama Beach, Umino Ryotei Okinawa Nakamasou provides accommodation with a sauna and a public bath. Everything about the hotel was amazing. We traveled with our 5 year old and 4 month old and we were well taken care of the whole time.

We have traveled the world and stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, and out of all of them, this one is our favorite. The room fits the island relaxed feeling and has a unique style, with everything that is needed. The separate bathroom and kitchen is convenient as well. The shining gem of our entire stay was Shizuka, who explained many things we could do on the island, gave advice, showed us her cute goat, and even surprised us with some very tasty snacks!!! She is really fun to talk to. We hope to visit this wonderful place again someday!

Set in Ishigaki Island in the Ishigaki Region, 200 metres from Kabira Bay, Joya features a sun terrace. Free private parking is available on site. The hosts are beyond kindness. They welcomed us and we felt instantly at home. We stayed in the tatami room and it was very comfortable and we all splept very well. The room itself is spacious enough to store our 3 luggages. We also had a very lovely dinner at their restaurant. We would definitely come again, when we stay in ishigaki.

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of quiet street, Minshuku Irayoi is located in Ishigaki Island, 80 metres from Shiraho Beach. Staying at Minshuku Irayoi was a wonderful experience. The property is clean, charming, and a short walk from the bus stop and Shiraho beach, full of marine life. Free shower and laundry soap, washing machine and tumble dryer are also available, which is convenient. Outstanding meals prepared by one of the minshuku owners, who is also a local artist. Do make time for a chat with her and her husband, who are happy to provide tips and recommendations for things to do in the area, and who facilitate conversation with other guests if staying for meals. Chances are you will spend a lovely evening getting to know fellow travellers around drinks and music. Stay at Irayoi if you're interested in learning about real Ishigaki life and culture!
