Karatsu Seaside Hotel offers accommodation in Higashi Karatsu. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. The onsen pool on the rooftop was awesome. The spa facilities were huge. You need at least 2 days to enjoy all of them. The basic room without onsen was spacious with an ocean view. Breakfast and dinner at the buffet and restaurants were in good variety and quality with local ingredients. Will love to visit again

I Karatsu, under 1 kilometer fra Nishinohama-stranden, ligger Yoyokaku, som har gratis sykler, gratis privat parkering, en hage og en fellesstue. The meals were all exceptional. We really enjoyed the food. The service was also excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and garden were beautiful.

I Arita, 18 kilometer fra Huis Ten Bosch temapark, ligger 宿坊 心月, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en terrasse og en restaurant. We are seasoned ryokan customers, and have been to quite a few around Japan, and Shukubo Shingetsu is seriously one of the best. It's relatively new and unknown at this point, but definitely is a hidden gem. There are 3 units available for booking, and we booked one of the two that have two-people capacity. PROS: 1) The whole house has a lovely wood smell (I think it’s Japanese cedar, sugi). 2) All 3 of the units (we've asked to see them all) are beautiful, modern and very very comfortable. They're designed by a famous architecture firm in Tokyo. 3) It's one of a handful of ryokans in Arita, which makes it rare. 4) If you're a huge fan of pottery (which we are), you will LOVE the detials around the house. The umbrella stand, the overhead lamp shades, the vases around the house are all beautiful antique Japanese Aritaware. 5) The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The chef (Yasunori-san) is amazing, and that's compared to a lot of other much older and much more established ryokans. Try it, you absolutely have to try his food. He also uses leftover rice from the rice course to make extra riceballs for guests as a midnight snack, which is great. 6) Bed was firm and comfortable! 7) Private onsen in the room was great. 8) Snacks and drinks in the room are 100% free. 9) Netflix in the room! 10) The owners also own a beautiful antique pottery shop, which is also a must-visit. 11) Free parking! 12) The owner of the Ryokan is a lovely lady named Tomoko-san and speaks excellent English, so foreigners would feel very very welcome.

I Ureshino, 33 kilometer fra Huis Ten Bosch temapark, ligger 奥武雄温泉 風の森, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en terrasse og en bar. Oh my, what didn't I like. Everything was great, from the water in the onsen, the dinner, the breakfast, the staff. I really cannot complain about anything.

I Ureshino, 32 kilometer fra Huis Ten Bosch temapark, ligger UreshinoOnsen URESHINO YADOYA, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en bar. Det var et veldig vakkert sted med gode fasiliteter og imøtekommende personalet. Maten både middag på kvelden og frokosten var fantastisk.

I Tara, 49 kilometer fra Fredsparken, Nagasaki, ligger Ichifukuso, som har gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. Overnattingsstedet ligger i Taratatezaki Onsen. Great coastal hotel with public and private onsen baths and very exquisite & delicious seafood set dinners in private dining areas. The breakfast set was also excellent. Very relaxing view of the fishermen and boats from the room. Excellent value and comfort for travelers seeking an out of the way location on the Ariake Sea coastline. Very friendly and helpful staff & hosts.

I Takeo, bare 48 kilometer fra Yoshinogari historiske park og 37 kilometer fra Huis Ten Bosch temapark ligger Urari Takeo Garden Terrace Spa Resorts. Very attentive staff. Contemporary Ryokan esthetic. Huge rooms with lots of amenities. Nice Onsen. Nice complementary lounge. Excellent dinner and service. Had an early departure before breakfast- they packed a Bento Box for me to eat on the train. Facilities and service exceeded my expectations.

I Saga, bare 24 kilometer fra Yoshinogari historiske park og 38 kilometer fra Ohori-parken ligger Kakureisen.

The food was the best of any Ryokan I've ever staged in. We were treated to local delicacies, prepared by skilled practitioners. The staff were also very accommodating and hospitable. Would highly recommend. And the space was clean, large, modern, and comfortable.
