Marumo Ryokan is an authentic Japanese ryokan and is hands down the best we’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, it is impeccably clean, and the meals are a delicious traditional feast. The hosts are very accommodating and thoughtful. We took the train to Omi-Iwazu and then rode back to Omi-Takashima, where we rented bikes to visit the Shirahige shrine. We also went to Makino to spend some time at the beach. Our entire group of five wished we had planned to stay for 2 or 3 nights instead of one. It was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the rest of our trip and we would hands down all choose to stay there again!

Biwako Hanakaido features outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, 3 dining options and rooms with a balcony and Lake Biwako views. It also has a garden and a sauna, while the lobby offers free WiFi. I had an unforgettable stay at Biwako Hanakaido. The view of Biwa Lake is simply spectacular, creating a serene and picturesque setting for a relaxing getaway. The staff were exceptionally friendly and grateful, making my stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Alena for taking such great care of us The food was varied and incredibly tasty, offering a delightful culinary experience. The massage course also must try!

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. I liked how friendly the staff was and how many things there were to do at the facility! We did onsen (in our room and the public onsen), walked around the grounds, did karaoke, and enjoyed the multi course dinner!

Ubytovanie sa nachádza v atraktívnej lokalite v destinácii Otsu v štvrti Ogoto Onsen 16 km od miesta Chrám Enrjakudži, 17 km od miesta Vrch Hiei a 19 km od miesta Chrám Shoren-in. It was a great experience, the room was nice and clean, the meals were great, the staff were very friendly and professional. The first hour in the hotel and I'm already thinking of coming back on my next trip to japan.

Boasting a hot spring bath, Dantokan Kikunoya is located a 5-minute drive from JR Ogoto Onsen Station. Free pick-up from the station is available upon advance request. The staff here are incredible. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)

Ubytovanie 長浜城下 町屋ホテル 和乃リトリートひといき sa nachádza v destinácii Nagahama 14 km od miesta Hrad Hikone. Hostia tu majú k dispozícii záhradu, bezplatné súkromné parkovisko, terasu a bar. Loved the staff and the property - Shimpei and staff was superb, thoughtful, responsive, and just lovely. We learned so much about Lake Biwa’s local culture in such a short time thanks to Shimpei and Riyona (the resident artist)! We also loved the sauna and our room. Super cozy and also airy at the same time. Central location from train station (perfect walking distance), but quiet at the same time! Beautiful traditional neighbourhood. We also appreciated the property’s curation of local products such as the bancha tea sampler and sweet potato mochi. These little gestures/sharings really made an impression on us.

The homemade Japanese breakfasts were phenomenal and a very good value. Almost unbelievable. Each day was different, with a healthy balance of vegetables, proteins, and carbs (rice). Authentic, and served by a wonderful woman.

Ubytovanie Kiyotaki Ryokan sa nachádza v destinácii Hikone 1,7 km od miesta Hrad Hikone a 8 km od miesta Taga-taisha Shrine. Really quiet, amazing host, very good food for dinner and breakfast, incredible traditional japanese bathroom.
