Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed in! It is so peaceful and beautiful, the hot springs will literally heal your soul, I feel so fortunate to have found this place, totally recommended!! Excellent manga selection as well.

Stylish and cozy modern hotel near Gora Station. The interior feels Nordic and calm, with many international guests. Dinner was excellent — creative dishes with local ingredients, especially the pork Saikyo-yaki. The onsen is small but very nice, with sulfur-rich water, plus cute mini sodas and fruit ice after the bath. Breakfast is Western-style only and very comfortable on the sofa seats. We would love to stay again.

Featuring a garden, Hakone Onsen Yuyado Yamanoshou is set in Hakone, 200 metres from Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands. This 3-star ryokan features free WiFi. Authentic feel of the place and the food, the onsen was also wonderful. Everything was clean, and the traditional beds on the floor were surprisingly comfortable.

The authentic style of the ryokan, along with the warm welcome from the owner and staff, made the stay special. Everyone speaks English very well.

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. The food is amazing here. And the baths in the room are an experience in itself. Amazing location, really convenient. I would come back here again and again.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. The service of the staff were exceptional and they went out of the way to give us a memorable experience.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Boravak nam je bio jako ugodan. Smještaj je bio izuzetno čist, soba udobna i sve je djelovalo vrlo dobro održavano. Posebno nam se svidio onsen – prekrasno iskustvo opuštanja, baš ono što treba nakon aktivnog dana. Tijekom check in-a imate mogućnost za nadoplatu privatnog onsena (preporučam).

Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. The staff was very helpful in answering all my questions before we arrived and took very good care of us the four nights I stayed with my daughters at Edo Sakura. And during our stay, we had great breakfast and service. The room was on the smaller side for the three of us, but it was cosy, and we had everything we needed. In a quiet and quaint neighborhood, walking distance to Ueno station, which is bustling and fun.

Hakone Suimeiso is located a 3-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station and a 15-minute walk from Sounji Temple. It offers public hot-spring baths, free parking on site and free Wi-Fi access. EVERYTHING! Thank you YUKO!! The room was out of this world, and the Onsen was definitely bigger than expected, we did fit in 2 people inside and im 1.87m Yuko made our experience unique and super welcoming, she made us feel at home, arigato gozaimaishita Yuko! 🙇🙇🙇 Don't eat before dinner, cause it's a lot of food!! The view on the river/mountain was the cherry on top Oh and the beds, so comfortable! Absolutely worth every Yen!

Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. Amazing level of historical details in each building with each and every detail made in impeccable way. The buildings and rooms themselves are a sight to see.
