Located in Nikko and only 800 metres from Kegon Falls, Chuzenji Pension provides accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking. The host was super friendly and nice, the meals were very tasty (both dinner and breakfast), and the atmosphere was really calm & relaxing. We also enjoyed the private Onsen. The location is great - just near the lake and only a 5 minute walk from the bus stop. Great value for money!

Itamuro Onsen Daikokuya offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Shirakawa Station and 43 km of Komine Castle. Our stay at Itamuro Onsen was truly exceptional. Words can hardly capture how special this place is. Surrounded by exquisite nature, beautifully curated furniture and ceramics, a sophisticated art library, and gardens designed by renowned artist Kishio Suga, it was a memorable experience. The onsens were perfect for the relaxation you need after spending some days in a busy city like Tokyo. A special thanks to Koki, who kindly showed us around Suga's museum and shared insights about the special project that is Itamuro. We're already looking forward to returning soon!

Located in Nasu, 27 km from Shirakawa Station, Jizaiso provides accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a steam room. Comfortable stay, great food and amazing service! The staff were all lovely! They had a service to bring us to the bus station and it helped us out a lot.

Established in 1666, Honke Bankyu is housed in a registered historical building. The Japanese rooms feature traditional decor, futon bedding and a flat-screen TV. Very suitable for vegetarians, best onsen I have ever visited. Clean, quiet, beautiful

Located 14 km from Kegon Falls, 奥日光湯元温泉ゆの森 is a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in Nikko, featuring an open-air bath, a shared lounge and private parking. Beautiful location. Excellent staff and service. In room onsen was fantastic.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Nasu-Onsen Shinshun no Kago Hewitt Resort is situated in Nasu, 27 km from Shirakawa Station and 27 km from Komine Castle. A public bath is available for guests. The onsen water was great and the area of nasu was amazing! Food was also amazing!

Situated in Nikko, 17 km from Tobu Nikko Station, KINUGAWA KEISUI features accommodation with a spa and wellness centre, free private parking, an open-air bath and a garden. I am afraid our stay at Kinugawa Keisui might have destroyed our expectations towards other hotels for the future. I can only describe it as absolutely outstanding. Beginning with the scenario location next to a forest and a small river, the huge, modern, beautiful and amazingly comfortable room, which didn‘t only feature several small welcome presents, a minibar filled with a wide (and free) variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and huge and comfortable beds, ending at the most outstanding breakfast and dinner consisting I was allowed to witness in Japan, the hotel and the amazingly kind and professional staff made our stay to be nothing but amazing. There are some many small details we could list, such as the outdoor fire place where you can read a book in a calm and relaxed atmosphere sipping your coffee, the bento boxes for travels during the day, the Onsen on your balcony for which you can adjust the temperature to your perfect needs, the entertainment system in your room should you chose to relax here, the staff which gives you privacy should you want it but helps with any need you might have, the fast and stable internet anywhere in the hotel and and and. We usually don‘t book hotels again, but we will definitely return here during our next Japan trip.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Shelter Garden Nikko is located in Nikko, 2.1 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine and 3.4 km from Tobu Nikko Station. The breakfast was amazing! Delicious and plentiful! The view from our room was breath-taking. Our dinners (we treated ourselves to two) were exceptional and amazing. The second evening the chef changed up some selections for us which was very thoughtful. We also enjoyed the happy hour and playing some gamees together before dinner.
