Our journey through the safari was nothing short of fantastic, beginning with a thrilling encounter with a sleeping lion en route to the lodge. The adventure continued with more lion sightings as we departed. Our guide, Christelle, was the highlight of our trip. Her extensive knowledge and evident passion for wildlife truly enriched our safari, transforming it into a magical adventure. We experienced great extra drives, pursuing the echoes of roaring lions and observing the serene beauty of a lounging leopard. Fortune smiled upon us, allowing us to witness four different leopards, including a surprise visit from one during our sundowner drinks – a moment of sheer amazement especially for Christelle!!.
The warmth and hospitality of Dave and Nikki made us feel like a part of the Nyala family. Their exceptional attention to detail in the dining experience, complemented by Shylet's service, elevated our stay.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Nyala family for crafting such an unforgettable and unique safari experience.

Hoedspruit has a good selection of supermarkets for the self catering traveller. There are a number of great coffee shops and restaurants in the town and a variety of activities offered for day trips by adventure or safari companies. Some quirky curio / gift stores with a variety of goods on offer and some fabulous day spa options. Most travellers are self drive or have private transport booked but there was a local taxi service advertised on a notice board at the Kamogelo Tourism Centre if you get stuck.

Hoedspruit is indeed a tourist destination. Restaurants are in abundance. We enjoyed our dinners at The Hat and Creek restaurant. The town is bordered by the Kruger National Park. Access to the KNP is easy.

Hoedspruit is the best town in Greater Kruger.
Hoedspruit is the best town in Greater Kruger. Reasonably priced direct flights from Capetown or Johannesburg. Rental cars at airport. Grocery stores, restaurants and a variety of great places to stay.
This is where to start and stock up if you are self driving Kruger. 45 minutes to the Orpen gate and another 45 to Letaba rest camp. Expect to see elephant on the way.

Relatively close to the Kruger Park (animals) and the Drakensberg mountain range (natural sites).
The local supermarkets (SPAR and PnP) provide all needs for self catering stays.
A range of accommodation and eating places.
Parkrun.
A waring to be patient of the access roads, if driving in. Tri-axle bulk transporters seem to use every conceivable road, many of which are hilly and not endowed with many safe and legal overtaking opportunities.

The staff are very welcoming and they gave us the best service. The breakfast was to die for. If you want to unwind and let nature speak to you, don't hesitate, book your stay now. I love the privacy and the smell of different trees that sorrounds the Lodge. It was a good experience.
A superb Guest Lodge with a great welcome by Zoe and excellent accommodation and 5 star amenities located within the Hoedspruit Wildlife Reserve. Beautiful modern and spacious deluxe room with King Sized bed, quiet aircon, percale linen. soft fluffy towels, including pool towels and the bonus of our ensuite was an additional open air outdoor shower. A fabulous pool with superior outdoor furniture. A delicious breakfast included in the price and served by the friendly co-host Justin.
Perfect hotel to start your trip to the Kruger. From the arrival (special thanks to the manager Constance) to the excellent food from chef Jeanet served by the very attentive servers Meriam and Betheul to the really absolutely perfect cleanliness in the rooms (thank you, Tryphina!) it was a wonderful stay! Compared to the other hotels in and around the Kruger, I must really emphasize the cleanliness and style of the hotel. 10/10!
The place is super fine, in an amazing location. The room are clean, big and very comfortable. The pool and the eating area it was just amazing and exceeded my expectations. The hotel team was above and beyond for any request that we had. The game drives driver and spotter (Never and Mateo) were really professional and made sure that we will see all animals including the big fives
The Camp was beautiful. I would just improve on the cleaning things, we didn't have a dish washing liquid as well as the dishwashing clothes. Since its a self catering these should be included I feel because we cook for ourselves and stuff. If you are planning a longer stay please include you own things, but otherwise I plan to visit other locations of the Africamps locations
Amukela Kaya ! What a gem situated in the Wildlife estate Hoedspruit. Private parking and enterence.
Bright and spacious accommodation. Facilities for self- catering are fantastic. It is a bonus to have solar power available . 5 stars all round for comfort, cleanliness, the view from the rooms and privacy. Not forgetting the hospitality from our host.
Will visit again.
Amazing experience and very exclusive. My family (2 childrens and 2 adults) were very well accommodate and with a 5 start service all the time.
The resort caters to only a handful of guests, ensuring an atmosphere of tranquility and exclusivity. We felt as if we had our own private Lodge with an air of serenity that permeated every corner.
I booked the property for my wife to stay over for a couple of days. The property was rated highly and reviews were great. She needed a place that was comfortable, in short proximity to Hoedspruit and safe for her to stay alone. Ujabule was the perfect place. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Thanks guys
The hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was very well equipped with everything one could possibly need. The vistas from the hotel were breathtakingly beautiful. The food was simply delicious and of extraordinary quality. Overall, it was the most amazing stay during our trip in SA.
Xavier is an absolutely amazing host with a jaw-droppingly beautiful property. This isn’t a hotel, this is an experience. Each night, Xavier prepared a delicious dinner for us to enjoy and even took into account all dietary restrictions. Hippomoon was the highlight of our South African honeymoon.
Overall experience was amazing, the host was so genuine and welcoming. The space is quite cozy, very suitable for resting if you have a lot of activities to do during the day, the atmosphere is very fresh and quiet .Note it’s not self catering.
Situated in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate made it seem like we were really 'away' from things although it was so conveniently close to town. The room was perfect and we will definitely book there again when we travel to Hoedspruit.
Everything.
Juliet and Sander where very nice and helpful.
Braai dinner and breakfast were great, even for vegetarians like us.
The location inside the wildlife estate with the impalas and warthogs was amazing.
It is a self catering with all the required utensils available and in great conditions. Finding the location was a bit of a challenge because the navigation system could not pick the names of the streets.
This place is beautiful, I don't think the pictures on this website are doing justice to the place. Very secure, private. We have found a home for all our trips to Hoedspruit
The quietness and the peaceful nature of the environment was so refreshing. the place provided a unique sense of peace. A great get away from the usual town busy schedules.
