The city has such a vibe.
The city has such a vibe. And i found it much safer than I imagined, but the traffic is a nightmare. Use the Mio - super cheap and efficient - and if you can use the Mio cable car up to Siloe. Waunana restauant was great. The market (Galeria Alameda) is wonderful, especially for fruit. Off the beaten path, but the Casa de las Memorias del conflicto y la reconciliación is an amazing space on memorialisation and restoration after this history of conflict in Cali and the Pacific region. A very gritty town with little of interest outside the historic district, and very little even there. I love all the bakeries outside the downtown area, especially along Pasoancho (Calle 13th) and everywhere in the suburbs. Not on my list of places to go back to.And a taxi driver jiggled his meter at the end of my last trip to the bus station to make it read 50% higher...I caught him.Guest review byWim - 10.0

Cali is super friendly and diverse in its design. Barrio San Antonio is beautiful and a must see. Also make sure that you visit Parque de Perros and the park of the cats on the river side. Amazing city.
Amazing city. Vibrant, happy people around, great natural juices and fruits everywhere. I have the feeling there is not that much experience dealing with tourists as other Colombian cities that may be more popular, so you experience a natural very honest interaction with staff. The taxi drivers are honest and some times they even have candies at the end of the ride :D You have to book in advance tickets to access to some of the great salsa shows the city offer. The city is clean and organized... definitely the Cop16 had a positive impact on it. Very much recommended.Guest review byCarolinaColombia

I was also there at a busy time in Cali when many hotels on booking.com cancelled peoples rooms at the last minute and hiked their prices.
