Location super close to airport and Iguazu Falls. It's within the pickup area for the day tours going to Argentina (which is the main reason we booked the hotel). Beds are quite comfy and the value for money (at least from a German perspective) is good.

You get what you pay for: A simple but conveniënt room. The rooms could use some renovation and touch-ups here and there. The beds were ok. We had two nights of good sleep. There is some music from a bar in the street but that ends before midnight. There are some good restaurants and bars in the area.

One of the most popular touristic destinations in Brazil, Foz do Iguaçu is located on the Brazilian side of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Iguaçu Falls. Lying on the triple frontier between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, it also offers the Parque das Aves (Birds Park), the Itaipú Dam, and access to cheap shopping in the Paraguayan tax-free city of Ciudad del Este.
The word Iguaçu derives from the native Guaraní language, meaning “big water”. The spectacular falls are part of the natural frontier between Argentina and Brazil, and comprise 275 individual falls spread over 3 km in both countries, with a maximum height of 80 metres. Its water flow can be three times that of the Niagara.
Starting as a small village, Foz grew thanks to the flow of tourists, the construction of the bridges linking to Paraguay and Argentina, and the works on the Itaipú Dam and Hydroelectric Plant. Some of the best hotels in Foz do Iguaçu are located along the road linking to the national park. Nonetheless, most Foz do Iguaçu hotels are located in and around the central area.
Before arriving at Foz do Iguaçu - Cataratas International Airport, don’t forget to check out the accommodation deals on Booking.com!
Would recommend seeing the falls from both sides. Argentina side has more walking and Brazil side has good views. The buffet restaurant in Brazil side was very good. The boat ride was very pricey and not good value for money. You only get 10-15 mins on the water. Be aware of the extra costs to enter both national parks. It was around $50 per person on top of the $70 per person for the full day tour.
If you have time then go to Marco das tres Fronteras Has a landmark where 3 countries meet. The restaurant was amazing. Great selection of steaks and reasonably priced compared to European prices. There was also a cultural dance performance

Stay 2 nights to visit both the Argentinian side and the Brazilian side. If you really cannot do both, go Brazil. The site is simply amazing and worth the airplane ticket. If you can afford it, stay inside the park itself (Bellemont is best option). You can visit the Argentinian side, the the next day do Brazil and head directly to the airport afterwards...

we liked the falls much more from the Argentina side, because you can reach them much closer. Less than half a day is enough to spend there. We did the Catamarran tour and the food was really really good. Just go with Uber and buy your own ticket at the entry for the falls (both sides). A guide was offered for U$ 50,- at the gate informing us we could get lost (Argentina side). No way we could get lost with all the signs over there. La Boca de Diablo was closed since the bridge was flooded last year October, but should re-open soon. Uber is a great and cheap way to get around and we used a taxi to cross the border and they help with immigration papers. Also visited Paraguay with the bus for only U$ 3,- per person and came back with a collectivo for U$ 6,- who dropped us off right at our Hotel ( hassle-free). We never use the bus or public transport but it was an experience to us and Paraguay, while very busy, was worth a visit due to the many many shops and some expensive malls selling all wellknown brands

The Iguaçu Falls are phenomenal, needing two days, the first for the panoramic view on the Brazilian side, the second for a close-up experience on the Argentinian side. The city felt safe, and we walked some 6 or 7 blocks to eat at a good Italian restaurant.

We underestimated the time needed in Foz do Iguaçu.
We underestimated the time needed in Foz do Iguaçu. We extended our stay by 1 night from 2 nights to 3 (moving to wonderful Hotel Sanma because With Foz do Iguaçu had no room available), but should probably have added 2 nights instead of only 1.
Count 0.5 days for Itaipu, 1 day for Iguaçu-falls Brazilian side, 1 day for Iguazu falls Argentinian side, 0.5 days for the wonderful, very instructive Parque das Aves, and 0.5 days for a quick hike through the 3 towns Foz (Bra) Ciudad del Este (Par) and Puerto Iguazu (Arg).
Make sure you travel with autorized means of transportation from one country to the other.

Forget Victoria and Niagara, this is the only one you need to see! But make sure you see both sides as they are different. The Brazilian side is beautiful, the Argentinian side is awesomely dramatic. One day is sufficient if you start at opening time then transfer by taxi to Argentina and stay in a hotel there at the end.
Arriving at the hotel was a bit concerning as there was major constuction going on on the road outside. But this didn't turn out to be an issue at all. The location was excellent, being close to various attractions, including the Bird Park and the National Park with the falls. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was excellent, the A/C was good and the location was quiet, despite the construction.
We really liked the breakfast and dinner, both buffet style with a great selection. Especially, the dinner buffet had great variety of salads/ vegetables and out of this world desserts. The atmosphere was very pleasant and friendly, the prices reasonable. Also, the tour agency CCH located in the hotel lobby could arrange any rides for site seeing or tours. Many thanks to our tour agent and driver!
Exceptional stay in a very comfortable and beautiful house. The host is the best you can ask for and he contributed to three great days with his recommendation, assistance and kindness. We felt like guests, not clients. Not to mention the delicious breakfast served with great care by the swimming pool. Look no further and book this place for a wonderful stay in Foz do Iguaçu :) Thanks Mr. Ole!
I was dubious about staying in a hostel ( CLH- H stands for Hostel) but this place is more like a hotel. Clean, bright, good size room. Receptionist s are friendly, especially the blond long hair girl. There is a travel agency also provided good service. Near bus terminal, convenient for going to the fall, parks, shopping mall and even to the airport. Close to late night restaurants.
We loved this boutique style hotel in the jungle in Puerto Iguassu…no large groups, quiet, comfortable beds. Mosquito repellent was supplied but not needed. Both restaurants were good, breakfast served individually on a tray. The seafood/sushi restaurant was good, though items could be ordered from the Italian restaurant as well. Wifi intermittent in our room.
Great location (bus stop with regular buses to Puerto Iguazu (where you can get the bus to the falls on ARG side) and to cataratas de iguacu (falls on BR side) is right next to the hotel), breakfast, and pool. Rooms are simple so don't go expecting a luxurious suite. However, my room was quite spacious. Staff was friendly and let me check in earlier.
Amazing stay! Honestly one of the most comfortable and nicest stays I've had. Roger is such a lovely host who always made sure I was comfortable and gave me a lot of tips and advice for things to do in the area or places to go eat. I felt very comfortable here, and would definitely recommend anyone staying in Foz do Iguacu to stay here.
Love the hotel, confortable beds, staff was super nice, excellent bar, great mojitos!!! Rooms were clean, the breakfast was fabulous!!! Unfortunately we stay during winter so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor facilities due to the rain, but they look fabulous! Iguazú waterfalls 5 minutes walking .. gray location … perfect, bravo!!!!!
Great hotel with very friendly staff. This hotel is near the centre of Iguaçu and there is a huge supermarket very close, and the bus station is within easy walking distance. The staff are very attentive and the breakfast good. A nice place to chill whilst visiting the falls and the sites in town.
Best location ever, with 24h easy access access to the falls, which is priceless as you can avoid all the tourist crowds around sunrise and sunset. The location is better than the Melia on the Argentinian side, but the Hotel das Cataratas offers very few room with falls view or balcony.
Great hotel; very friendly staff who helped us with all the questions and to arrange taxi to Argentinian side of the falls; the hotel has really nice pool area; breakfast is very good: there is a lot to choose from; all in all we had a great time
This is more than a hostel, I would say it is more like a mini hotel. Super clean, nice facilities, close to the Iguacu Falls and the airport. Hostel provides transportation which is very convenient and reliable. Friendly staff and owners.
Lovely b&b in a quiet residential location of Foz do Iguaçu. Nice owner, very helpful and even did breakfast for us very early when we had to leave for our flight. Extremely clean. Walking distance to restaurants and supermarket.
The hotel had a good structure, the room was spacious, the bed was very big and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to do early check-in 5h before. The breakfast selection was also good.
Great value for money and the breakfast included was really great! Perfect place to stay if you want to visit either foz do iguaçu or puerto iguazu! Great location near bus stops and restaurants.
Beautiful hotel. Can't beat the location - made the price worth it. The morning buffet was the best we'd had in our 4 weeks of travel. Dinner in the Y restaurant was also fabulous.
The restaurant was good. The location was great- very close to the Brazil side of the falls. Transport to and from the airport was very convenient and provided by the hotel.
