I really love the room we had for the night, it was nice & comfortable, clean. The hotel had a great history in the room. I love the pictures & charm the building had to.

If you want an experience different from the regular hotel/motel experience, then this is the place. Set around a working cheese and dairy farm you can see the production facilities. On site ice cream parlour and cheese shop. Calves, goats and chickens on site.

Moruya is a great staging point for adventures in the local area. It has two major supermarkets which will stock most of what you need. There a couple of restaurants, or you can try the pub fare which is also great value for money (portion sizes are large), but get in early on a weekend as the venues pack out after 6pm. Head to the Quantum Brewery, about 1km to the west of the main street, to try some great local beers in what used to be the Moruya cheese factory. Drive 10 minutes east to Moruya Heads for a breathtaking view of the bay looking North to Broulee. Alternatively, drive 10 mins out toward Moruya airport where a walk along the breakwater will provide with a different, but equally gorgeous, perspective.

We travelled for the races.
We travelled for the races. The closest hotel to th racecourse where we met up with friends had run out of food at 7.15 pm. The manager was rude when asked what food was available. By 10.30 pm the town was a ghost town.
Could not find an open cafe at 8.45 am on a Saturday morning. The service station does a great egg & bacon roll
Lack of services for visitors

The room I was assigned in did not have enough sound proofing, it was noisy. The air freshner was strong, I turned it off and I opened the window for a long time. The check in instructions were easy to follow.

The cabin was accommodating for our family sleep wise.
The cabin was accommodating for our family sleep wise. The floor in cabin was extremely dirty and oily we had to wear socks walking around to avoid black feet. The shower was extremely hard to get into as you had to climb into the spa bath tub and there were no hand rails to assist you with this. There wasn't enough cooling in the cabin 1 fan and 1 small air-conditioner which had difficulties with the 38 degree heat. The porch needs a gate at top of stairs to make safer for smaller children. TV needs updating or chrome cast abilities. The roads around the park need fixing huge amount of pot holes.
My family loved the residential possums that came and ate fruit from their hands and that sat with us on porch.

It is really easy to get around town, there is a pedestrian 4 block precinct of 30kph, we rode our bikes without vehicle concerns. Lots of parking.
The town is situated on a river and Riverside Park is a pleasant location with markets on Saturday mornings.
Good coffee in town: Health Food Cafe, Tukka, Alfresco, Grounded and more. Enjoyed the BAS Art Gallery, entry is through the library. A selection of eateries, we ate a good meal at the Adelaide Hotel, a drink at the Waterfront Hotel at sunset, watching the sun set behind the mountains (so relaxing) and then on to the Air Raid Tavern for a classy wine and cocktail. All within walking distance !

Moruya has beautiful river views, with lots of birdlife. Ideal for fishing and water sports.
We enjoyed a lunch at The River Restaurant.
A good supermarket in town, and a variety of shops.
Easy to travel and explore nearby towns.
There is a history to be explored too in the town.
A very nice beach very in a very short distance, hot spa, quiet, clean, friendly staff, good playground.
The downside was there is no dining place or coffee shop whatsoever, need to drive to Moruya but it's probably good as it makes the place even quieter.
The new bathroom in this hotel room was excellent - modern, spacious, tastefully decorated. I liked the self-check in as it gave us the convenience to arrive when we wanted to. The directions sent to my phone were comprehensive.
Very roomy and comfortable house. Great for family or group of friends, and walking distance to the Moruya’s main streets. Owners are friendly and easy to deal with.
