Too many great restaurants and only one stomach. Lots more Gaudi and history to take in. Free walking tours were great. Other tours out of town looked good but lacked the time.
You can eat cheap in Barcelona but we didn't. We're too old to do that and life is short. A good three course meal with a glass of wine was costing around $A80 to $A100 for two. Want to self cater? Go to the Central Market in La Rambla where we stayed. Amazing food.

Sagrada Familia is so beautiful.
Sagrada Familia is so beautiful. It is a must see when visiting Barcelona. We enjoyed our time walking along and eating dinner at the waterfront. If I had more time in Barcelona, I would have visited Monserrat. Disappointed that the Magic Fountain is not operating due to their drought.

Barcelona is such a lovely place.
Barcelona is such a lovely place. We took a sight seeing Bus ticket for two days to explore as much of the city as we could. We ate out on La Rambla, in the square jus off La Rambla and at the beach - all lovely locations. We recommend finding one of the many roof top bars to see the best views and go on the cable cars up into the hills to see the Olympic park and castle.

Spent several hours at La Sagrada Familia and were completely enthralled— it was our favorite place, along with the Palace of Catalan Music and Park Guell. Really wish we’d skipped Barcelona Cathedral in favor of a visit to Montjuic with its park and museums. We enjoyed La Pedrera although disappointed that a tiny bit of rain caused them to close the rooftop. They also have a terrific gift shop! Wish we’d planned an extra day to visit Montserrat Monastery. We walked everywhere, which was such a pleasure; just good to be aware that it’s a big city! Also recommend La Boqueria Market on Las Ramblas, or Santa Catarina Market, which is near the Picasso Museum, for an amazing food market experience.

The architecture and historical buildings were absolutely fabulous
Having said that the amount of graffiti was quite disturbing and really spoilt our opinion of Barcelona as a place to visit
We understand that Barcelona is presently experiencing a drought at the moment so there was an accumulation of filth on some of the streets that would normally be washed away with sufficient rain
The underground system is quite good but nowhere near as good as Singapore's. It would help it there was more information in English

We stayed in the old town which was very romantic with its narrow, winding streets and many shops and restaurants. All of the locals we met were friendly and helpful, though many were not fluent in English (they knew a little), so it helps to know a little bit of Spanish to get around and order food. We found that although the old town is a fun destination, going a little bit out of the way to find a restaurant that isn't packed with other tourists made for a more pleasant dining experience.
I'd specifically like to recommend Olgod Beer Lab for any craft beer lovers. They brew a wide range of styles, all of which were very good. I especially liked their barrel-aged mixed-culture sour.
I'm a huge Juan Miro fan, so visiting the Juan Miro Foundation was a special treat.
The Picasso museum was cool because you got to see a lot of his early stuff, like his academic works and his landscapes. I felt like it could have gone into more detail about his hand in creating cubism and why it was important in the context of art history. Worth a visit nonetheless.
Location in the city centre with good connection to the airport (metro, bus), shops and famous shopping street behind the corner. Night life few steps from hotel.
Top services in all aspects! Stuff was super friendly, specially team from reception will deserve extra bonus as they are top stars! we've had free upgrade to larger room, welcome drink and free champagne :) specially Emir (hope I remember correctly) was asking always whether we are satisfied and he did his best even calling us via hotel phone.
Hotel Barcelona Center was amazing! One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe. The beds were large and super comfortable, the room and bathroom were spacious, and the hotel was clean overall. I was able to check-in early with no notice which was extremely helpful. The staff was helpful at pointing out the best Tapas place, as well as the best means for transportation in and around the city. This hotel felt like a fancy hotel but was a decent price. I would definitely stay here again!
The staff was great and helpful. they gave us useful tips and treated us well (shoutout to Jose, he was so kind).
The location is 5 minute walk from the metro and an airport bus station (placa espana), it is not in the town center and you do need to use the metro to travel but we were prepared for it and found it easy to use.
There is a nice coffee shop underneath the hotel.
It was a lot cheaper then hotels in the city center and served us well.
This hotel/hostel was just great for a quick trip to Barcelona! Super comfy, clean and modern room, with a person to receive us and hold our keys at reception 24/7, great security, and a nice common area.
The best part is the location - it's in a super nice and quiet part of the city, but close enough to walk to the center, super close to the main streets of Barcelona, and super close to the bus stop to the airport. Couldn't have asked for better!
Casa Elliot is conveniently situated in the bustling city center, providing easy access to many of Barcelona's famous attractions, such as La Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, and Las Ramblas. In addition, the hotel is surrounded by an abundance of charming cafés, restaurants, and shops, ensuring that you'll never run out of things to do and see. One of the highlights of my stay was the genuinely friendly and helpful staff.
One of the best locations in the city, extremely close to everything: restaurants, metro, bus stops, convenience stores and most of all, the Sagrada Familia. We appreciate the professionalism of the staff, their pleasant personalities, knowledge of Barcelona and their helpful ways of treating their hotel guests. Thank you very much to the cleaning staff and the front desk staff especially Amanda - she is wonderful!
The hotel was in the best location, with almost all places of interest very close by. Fina and Enrique, our friendly hosts, were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. The room was cleaned daily, and the bathroom was equipped with all the essentials. We are extremely pleased with both the hotel and our hosts. Our 7 days in Barcelona was the best, thanks to Fina, Enrique, and the city itself. Thank you all!
- We chose this hotel for our last night in Spain/Barcelona. We were coming in by train and leaving the next day by plane. The hotel is close to the Barcelona Sants train station and Placa d'Espanya (one of the stops for the Aerobus to El Prat airport). There are lots of restaurants in the area.
- The air conditioning and WiFi worked great. We had plenty of hot water.
Our first visit to Barcelona- this hotel exceeded our expectations. This well maintained facility and super friendly staff made our visit delightful.
The metro stop is right in front of the hotel. Perfect for getting anywhere in the city.
The hotel is in the center of so many shops and restaurants it’s easy to spend a day without having to go far.
The hotel is located PERFECTLY at Plaza Catalunya. For anybody arriving in Barcelona by plane is good to know that there is practically taxi-service with the "aero bus" connecting the airport and the square in 30 minutes. Apart from that metro station is infront, but this might be not necessary as you live in the centre of the city centre!
I can say that the hotel is good and clean for a 3 star hotel in the city center of Barcelona. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is simple but ok, good coffee. Location is excellent you are close to Rambla, close to restaurants and shops. The staff is very kind. I think is a little expensive but you are in the center of Barcelona....
Excellent hotel. Location is wonderful for tennis and easy access to airport and central Barcelona. Spotlessly clean, modern, comfortable with the added advantage of a first class restaurant. Wonderful food - thank you chef! All tbr
staff are fantastic. All round one of the very best hotels I've stayed at. Highly recommend it.
The hotel was located just in the middle of airport and the city center. Right in front of the hotel (appx 50m) was Badal metro station wich is going to the center in 10-15 min. There was 7 station to La Sagrada Familia.
Alao the staff was professional, excellent in english.
The room was very-very clean.
Very good location in Montujic. Barcelona has best city transport easy to use. You can be in city centre in 10-15 min from hotel by bus or metro. Hotel is very clean, breakfast all you can eat😁 and very good😁. Employees - extremely friendly.
The hotel is modern and clean, and in a perfect location within Barcelona city center. Room is sufficiently equipped and the staff were helpful and friendly for both check-in and check-out.
Would definitely recommend!
The location is a plus, and the food at the resto is delicious. I ordered arroz negro and so far it was one of the best I tried in Spain. FYI: You’ll get 10% discount from the resto if you have a booking in the hotel.
Absolutely lovely hotel. The staff is super friendly the rooms are spacious & clean. I also had a massage they were very accommodating. My favorite hotel in barcelona city center so far!
I spent a very good time, in Barcelona, and in this hotel. Thank you very much to staff of the hotel, very kind. The location is perfect, in the city center.
