With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.

The city is super clean, there is a trash can everywhere (which is super helpful). BENCH EVERYWHERE, so you can just randomly sit down and just chill and admire the city. Not a big fan of touristy places, so I just went and explored the parks, cafes, and restaurants- which kept me busy all day because too many things to try!

First of all its safe.
First of all its safe. Its worth to visit.. people are nice and helpful. But do not do any shopping if you expect tax free! They do not give back at airport! The custom guy js not there you have to call and he refused to come! We were so many people front of it and none of us managed to get stamp! I ll complain to airport and make sure this message reaches everyone! Other than food is average i did not find any great or even “ really good” restaurant or food. If you will use taxi definitely download “Bolt” app. Otherwise taxi drivers charged a lot and they do not open taximeter! Unfortunately no where has free wifi so make sure your tariff valid in hungary.

Budapest is a very beautiful city, with a lot of things to see. They have very good public transportation, so you can go everywere you want ! The only thing which is not so good, is that most of people don't speak english , so it was difficult to communicate.

The city of almost two million people really feels like one - it is large, it has many different people, it has many different bars, restaurants, cafes, shops.
Really try to visit some of the ruin bars - one of the bars was established in a former Jewish ghetto building, so that is a bit of a sad part of history, however, the place is very much alive and thriving, that is Szimpla Kert.
However, one of the disadvantages of such a big city is constant smoking, the smell of piss, and some of the places are quite dirty, or maybe just a bigger level of trash everywhere, however, not as bad as some of the Balkan countries, or maybe even Rome!
But, despite that, it is a city rich with history, people, beautiful sights, great public transport, so, definitely visit Budapest!

Easy to get around and full of things to see and do (and taste!). Highly recommend this city, and that you give yourself at least 3 days to enjoy it. Hungarian is tough, but you can get by pretty easily throughout the city with English or German, which are both quite prominent. The city and the atmosphere are absolutely beautiful.

We basically walked the city. Loads to see and do. You just need to plan well ahead. A bonus was that if you are over 65 years you don't need a ticket for the Metro just take your phot id (passport)
The hotel is just great: clean, spacious, bright. You can feel that everything is new here and designed with a good taste. It is very convenient to have a kitchen with full equipment: even a filter for water is there. The host - Alex, is the best you can wish for: always there to help. Even by the phone. Speaks Russian, so my parents were just happy about it :)
We ordered the rooms with a breakfast at Astoria hotel nearby and enjoyed it too.
I have no problem staying at places like Budapest Global Suites permanently!
The location of the hotel is quite good. very easy access to city center by foot (aprox 15 minutes) and quite easy access to airport by bus
Breakfast was very very good with huge variety and hot dishes that were preparing on the spot!
Staff was quite friendly given how unfriendly is everybody in Budapest
Nice decoration of the lobby during Christmas period
Room had some nice "smart" features that we enjoyed, like the speaker in the bathroom which was connected with the TV
Easy to find, just a minute away from the tram that takes you to the city centre for 25 min. There is a shopping centre within 5 min drive with a car. Next to the hotel there is a winery where you can buy Hungarian sparkling wine.
The rooms are good enough with spacious bathrooms and plenty of towels.
The rooms have a balcony with private jacuzzi that you can use. The water temperature is 40 degrees celsius.
The parking is big and free (a rare finding in Budapest).
Easy to arrive and find, bus stop and metro station very close to the hotel. Close to city centre, nice walking tours frim and to the hotel. Spacious room and bathroom for three people. Coffee machine in the room with good quality coffee. Very clean room. Excellent breakfast to keep you full during the whole day, good quality of food, great variety and selections, very good coffee! Overall very good hotel, will stay again if I will visit Budapest in the future
The location was probably the best part: it's right in the center of Budapest, close to the best rated restaurants on TripAdvisor, the Danube, and other beautiful tourist attractions. A private parking is just 2 minutes away, which is very important, since parking spots are a bummer to find in that city.
The owner was really nice, the information provided was useful and the apartment was clean. A reasonable price and the perfect conditions for a quick stop.
The hotel’s staffs are all very helpful & friendly and have the best customer service. (At the reception Benedek and Adam gave good info about the city)
The breakfast buffet is the best we had in Europe, The manager Peter is awesome incredibly personal service always greeting guests and very welcoming. Location is great 5 minutes walk to the opera. The room is modern and clean. We had the best stay in Budapest thanks to Cortile Hotel.
Unimpressive from the outside, but inside a completely newly renovated, excellent hotel. I had a very quiet room. Room furnishings and bathroom were excellent. Breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is very close to the urban park and there are several interesting museums nearby. You can get to the city centre quickly by underground. The hotel staff is friendly and professional. I recommend this hotel for a stay in Budapest!
We had an absolutely lovely stay at Hotel Moments. The staff and cleaning service go above and beyond to make sure your stay is what you need. We took advantage of the breakfast as well and there were so many options for food that made it very easy to enjoy breakfast and coffee before starting adventures. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Budapest!
We did enjoy our stay very much at Ambra hotel. The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the city centre. The room was clean, comfortable and with everything we needed. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of savoury and sweet choices. The food was always lovely and freshly cooked. This hotel is ideal for somebody visiting Budapest for a few days.
Amazing hotel in the heart of Budapest. Everything was new and perfectly maintained. The staff very kind and helpful, breakfast and dinner excellent. They come to make the room twice a day, they bring you water and chocolates in the evening. Spacious and bright room, we even had an incredible balcony. One of the best hotel I experienced in my whole life.
If you travel by train, this is the best location ! If you travel by public transportation, this is very good location ! We like this hotel as it offer apartment with full kitchen. Also it is very good value ! Have breakfast included and luggage storage is a plus.
All in all if we come Budapest next time, we will stay here again.
The hotel is in the heart of the city centre very near to St Stephen’s Basilica and therefore very convenient for seeing the sights of Budapest. The hotel layout and rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed excellent choice of breakfast food during our three day stay and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location was brilliant. You were in walking distance from the bars and restaurants, to the city centre or to the river. it was great to come back to the hotel and jump into the hot tub and a swim . the spa massages and treatments are amazingly cheap half the price compared to anywhere else.
Great position in the city centre to visit all Budapest best sights. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice bar/restaurant within the hotel and they offer you a free cocktail/beer on arrival. Staff was kind and helpful. Good WiFi connection in the hotel.
The hotel was so amazing, clean and the location was perfect, in the city centre. I will choose this hotel every time. The girls of the staff was amazing so nice and educated. I loved everything about my stay in The Loft Budapest. Hope to return soon
Simply the best hotel in Budapest. Period. Aurea for the win - as always. I regularly stay at this hotel, and it never disappoints. This hotel is the definition of a perfect service.
