With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.

The city of almost two million people really feels like one - it is large, it has many different people, it has many different bars, restaurants, cafes, shops.
Really try to visit some of the ruin bars - one of the bars was established in a former Jewish ghetto building, so that is a bit of a sad part of history, however, the place is very much alive and thriving, that is Szimpla Kert.
However, one of the disadvantages of such a big city is constant smoking, the smell of piss, and some of the places are quite dirty, or maybe just a bigger level of trash everywhere, however, not as bad as some of the Balkan countries, or maybe even Rome!
But, despite that, it is a city rich with history, people, beautiful sights, great public transport, so, definitely visit Budapest!

Easy to get around and full of things to see and do (and taste!). Highly recommend this city, and that you give yourself at least 3 days to enjoy it. Hungarian is tough, but you can get by pretty easily throughout the city with English or German, which are both quite prominent. The city and the atmosphere are absolutely beautiful.

Is is a beautiful city.
Is is a beautiful city. Great restaurants, easy to use public transport. Affordable and safe!
I loved the castle tours. I ate at Mazel Tov, amazing mediterranean/israeli food, 100% recommend a lunch here, the vibe of the greenhouse/ upscale ruin-bar was beautifully unique. Nothing I would avoid in Budapest. Just make sure to plan your trip in advance and book things to do online. Was in a long que at the Thermal bath I visited. But all in all, an amazing adventure!

Great city.
Great city. Very clean, well maintained, friendly people, friendly drivers and staff, good prices, lots of places to visit and great food. We visited Budapest 3 years after I proposed to my wife spontaneous on the Chain Bridge. Definitely would like to visit again
The location is perfect- walking distance to the city centre, near to 2 metro stations & a tram station (from different directions), it’s a peaceful area even though it’s located somewhere around the heart of pest, Budapest.
The room is comfortable & spacious for a family of three. Everything is clean including the bathroom.
The service is really good & helpful. There are no convenient supermarkets nearby to go to at night (to buy water) but the restaurant next to the hotel lets us buy bottle of water from them.
An exceptional, boutique Hotel in a quiet area of Budapest. From the moment we arrived to our departure we were treated with professionalism, friendliness and kindness from all the staff. Exceptional design choices in our room as well as the Hotel. Beautiful garden, delicious breakfast and delicious lunch in their restaurant. Parking is on the property and the location of the Hotel is within easy walking distance to public transport to the City Centre. We loved our few days here and hope to return.
Easy to arrive and find, bus stop and metro station very close to the hotel. Close to city centre, nice walking tours frim and to the hotel. Spacious room and bathroom for three people. Coffee machine in the room with good quality coffee. Very clean room. Excellent breakfast to keep you full during the whole day, good quality of food, great variety and selections, very good coffee! Overall very good hotel, will stay again if I will visit Budapest in the future
After reading the reviews I went there expecting the worst. But I was surprised. It is not a 5 stars hotel, but it's maybe the best price in Budapest. Yes, there is a smell in the bathroom, but it's the smell of descaler. Which means there is intense cleaning. The bathroom vent does not work very good.
But...the room is big, location very good, close to center, parking underground for 10 euros, really good and relaxed staff.
Very good breakfast also.
This small apartment has everything you need for your stay in Budapest. The location is great with busses conneiing to the city centre just a short walk away. One of the best public baths with thermal springs is also really close. The apartment itself is super clean and the bed is very comfy. Check-in and out is super easy. The host is super nice, arranged for an early check-in and was overall super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!
We stayed just one night because we extended our stay in Budapest. Before that we stayed 3 days in apartment and this hotel was much better cheaper then apartment. Perfect location on the most beautiful street, close to all sites. Very nice and friendly stuff, comfortable bed, big size room nicely furnished and clean. Value for your money, you could find better deal and better location
very modern newly refurbished city hotel part of a chain, short walk to Budapests excellent & cheap public transport, the water front, shops and restaurants and the food hall. Clean modern bath room, fantastic breakfast included. The perfect choice for a first visit to Budapest. Helpful staff, and free coffee, water snacks in reception. Nespresso machine and water in room.
We did enjoy our stay very much at Ambra hotel. The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the city centre. The room was clean, comfortable and with everything we needed. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of savoury and sweet choices. The food was always lovely and freshly cooked. This hotel is ideal for somebody visiting Budapest for a few days.
We really enjoyed our stay at Roombach hotel and we will definitely choose it again when we come back to Budapest. Good variety of food at breakfast, everything was fresh and tasty, very friendly staff, they even help us with the parking, great location, right in the city centre. Room was not very big but enough for our stay and we appreciated the cleanliness!
This is excellent hotel to stay in Budapest. You could reach it by metro from the airport. Also tram line 2 and metro stations are very close, if you would like to reach the city center. In case we want to walk, it is 30 min.
24/7 reception, excellent breakfast, clean rooms, storage for suitcases if you have a late flight are also to be praised.
Amazingly welcoming staff, beautiful rooms, very calm and relaxing atmosphere away from the noise of the city centre. We slept better than we ever have thanks to the super comfortable beds and extremely quiet rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we would happily return to Kozmo next time we’re in Budapest. A real gem of a hotel.
It is a 5 star hotel but quite old fashioned. The rooms are not very modern but this is not necessarily bad. They are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent close to the city centre and to public transport. The breakfast is one of the highlights of the hotel, it is very good.
Cheap accommodation in Budapest, 10-20 minutes walk to the city centre. The hostel is at the main noisy street, but the hostel is actually in an inner courtyard, so there is no noise from the street. Staff is nice and helpful, speaks fluent English. Definitely worth the money.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Close to the airport, the city centre and to most of the sights.
We would definitely choose it again for our next visit to Budapest. Already recommended it to some friends, going to Budapest in the middle of August.
Staff were very friendly , location was great very close to the bus station , quite area , room was so clean , I loved the nice smell in the lobby, in general it was a great experience where I believe that whenever I'm in Hungary / Budapest I'll be with the hotel again
Everything was awesome!
I was second time here this year. The location is the best possible with a lot of posibilities to visit all important places in Budapest.
I highly recommend thia hotel if you are a tourist that want to ejnoy at maximum your stay in Budapest.
Hotel NH Budapest City has a great location. All main attractions in the city center are within walking distance of the hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The staff was very friendly and polite. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
Truly the highest level of comfort and care I have ever experienced in a 5 star hotel. The rooms, breakfast and service were impeccable. I have no doubt that this is the most sophisticated hotel in Budapest.
