The hotel was wonderful, the roomed very comfortable and the staff associated with the hotel (reception, concierge, doormen, bellboys and cleaning staff were very friendly and polite - eager to please. The staff at the restaurants and lounge were not of the same service mindsets unfortunately.

Great location: a few steps from the river, the Kaohsiung Film Archive is on the other side of the river, the Pier and the Music Center are also very close. The hotel itself is fairly comfortable. It's strong point is actually the location. Staff is friendly, although not all of them can speak English.

Shared areas look nice, especially the lobby. They give an impression of a hotel that is of much higher class than it actually is. Hotel staff is nice, though when I was checking in, the lady couldn't speak much English. Rooms are spacious and their layouts are very unique. Cleaning crew is also very nice and they clean everyday. Apart from that, it's located closely to Qianjin MRT station (former City Council station) so it's easy to access the MRT.
