Valle Gran Rey is very beautiful situated at the bottom of a very steep valley with spectacular scenery. You have to be able to cope with very windy mountain roads with sheer drops! It is dominated with German travellers and has multiple good restaurants at very friendly prices.Guest review byRosemary - 10.0
Great for walking around and getting good views.
Great for walking around and getting good views. A viewpoint near the parador is worth the uphill walk. Also good to explore the beach and viewpoint near the port. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants along side streets and near the main square. Great atmosphere during the Three Kings/Epiphany festival.Guest review byKathryn - 10.0

It’s a beautiful village nestled in the mountains. It’s close to the national park and if you like hiking then it’s ideal but I’d suggest having a car as the local bus timetable is very confusing and not very frequent.Guest review byAnitaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It is a quiet and appealing little town with a good choice of places to eat and drink. A good baker and three supermarkets to choose from. Buses (cheap) and the excellent Fred Olsen Express ferry service can be used to travel to San Sebastian, Valle Gran Rey, etc.Guest review bygreatwhiterabbitUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Picture perfect.
Picture perfect. Whilst strolling through the village on our first night we stumbled into the Christmas festivities by the Town Hall. The musical event supported by young + old made for a terrific community atmosphere. We loved it - an unexpected bonus to our stay. Thank youGuest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Nice small village famous for pottery.
Nice small village famous for pottery. Green part of the island with the downside that it is often foggy or inside clouds. I liked the character of the village and had a great view from above. Depending on your destinations few places are near and for going to the east and south-east it’s up to 1 hour drive - but La Gomera is so beautiful that every road trip is already an adventure and a sightseeing trip. Next mini-market is just a few minutes by car.Guest review byMarkusAustria - 8.0
Lovely little village out of the way!
Lovely little village out of the way! 25min drive down from the main road with spectacular views on the way down! Not a lot in the village but a small beach but if you want tranquility it's perfect! Lovely restaurant on the beach that serves the most amazing fish and seafood as very reasonable prices!Guest review bymorenaSpain - 8.0

We went to watch the start of this years Atlantic Row as I had taken part in it 2 years ago and we were seeing the crew who bought our boat off on their challenge. As always San Sebastian was delightful and having been there a few times over the years we were able to visit all of our old haunts just before Christmas which was excellent.Guest review byGarreth MurrellUnited Kingdom - 2.0
