Ultra-modern highrise hotel on the Xiangjiang River close to Juzizhou Scenic Area. There is a metro stop about 750m from the hotel, so it is convenient for sightseeing or further travel via the metro/railway. The room was ultra-modern with all sorts of electrical gadgets. The room was very clean; towels were white, fresh, and scented. We had a partial-view of the river looking south from the 60th floor. Yuelu Mountain is just across the river, you can take a cable car up and hike in the forest to various tombs and temples. Lots of restaurants nearby.

The hotel (which is more like a serviced apartment actually) is conveniently located right next to two subway stations and one of the most popular citycentre in ChangSha. The hotel concierge is very friendly and helpful. Room is well equipped with normal stuff you expect to find in any hotel rooms. For foreign travelers please make sure you have the Chinese instant messaging app wechat installed as the hotel concierge will need that to contact you when you first arrive to bring you to your room

Right then, just back from a cracking stay at The Wetlands Lodge in Changsha and had to share! Proper location this one – ​sat right on a spit jutting into the wetlands park, dead peaceful. Waking up to those reed beds and water birds? ​Spot on for a proper getaway.​​ Our room was the real surprise - ​had its own little terrace looking out over one stretch of marsh, and ​the bathroom window framed a completely different bit! Two lovely views for the price of one, brilliant touch. ​Down by the lake, there's a tidy little coffee shop.​​ Perfect for a cuppa mid-afternoon or ​sipping something chilled as the sun went down. Properly relaxing.​​ Staff were ​absolutely sound​ – friendly as you like and ​sorted anything we asked about, no fuss. Made you feel looked after.​​ And yes, ​the pool's lovely!​​ Clean, smart, and just the thing for a cool-off in the heat. ​Dead handy for the city too​ – taxis easy enough and the ​tube station's barely five minutes' stomp.​​ ​Honestly? We didn’t use the breakfast service. There were many local eateries within walking distance that allow us to discover the food culture. There were also convenient stores and fresh food markets as well. The location was ideal. We had a direct view of the lake. The nearby lake and park provided some relief to the summer heat and avoid flooding during the stormy days.
