This was my first time visiting Chongqing, and I’d booked a homestay way in advance. The host called me the day before check-in, sent over a route map and location pin—total lifesaver for someone traveling alone, it made me feel so taken care of. When I got to the homestay around noon, it was scorching outside. But when the host picked me up and took me to the front desk, they handed me a cold towel and iced tea right away—literally cooled me down in seconds! I arrived a little early, so my room was still being cleaned. I wandered around the neighborhood nearby, and Xiahaoli was such a vibe—super easy to find food, drinks, and fun stuff to do, no hassle at all. After grabbing lunch, I headed back to my room, and guess what? The AC was already cranked up. I crashed for a nap and it was so cozy. Honestly, this whole experience was absolute fire—I couldn’t have asked for better!

The staff were very friendly (we were chinese speaking) and very accommodative. The room was spacious and very unique, given that it was two-storeys and was built in a traditional temple. The room also had unique amenities like an automated tea making table that the staff taught us how to use. There were also two toilets so it was very convenient. The hotel supplies like towels and daily products were replaced everyday.
