The whole place was just stunning, and wildly exceeded our expectations. Superb views of Hanging Rock, kangaroos feeding a few metres from our door, great outside bbq area, everything inside spotless and shining, plus loads of room to relex in. Only problem? The town of Woodend is delightful! We had not stayed there previously but we were thrilled to see so many great restaurants and places to visit.

The Stables accommodation was just wonderful. We had lovely wood fires which warmed up all the rooms and made us feel comfortable and cosy. The bed/mattress was perfect, as good as it gets, had great sleeps. Very quiet at night, and day, and terrific outlook from the windows. But the best thing of all was that we could access and stroll about and explore the magnificent 12 acres of historic gardens. This was such a treat! Susie and Julian, our hosts, were most hospitable and friendly, and we thank them sincerely for a memorable couple of days stay.

Hosts were really friendly and helpful with information about the house and local area, and then left us to enjoy the property. It's a beautiful part of the world and you instantly feel relaxed the moment you step onto the property. Lots of things to keep you entertained, board games, books, chess, darts, pool table, fire pits.
