Self Catering Accommodation in Châtel

Me and my son absolutely loved staying here the views were just stunning and it was so.peaceful the apartment was awesome. We were made up it was a great holiday and I would absolutely return there I highly recommend 😀😀😀

The apartment was easy to find, with parking right in front of the building, and very well located for skiing. From the front door it was only about 2-minute walk to join the piste, so almost ski-in ski-out. There is a ski room in the building and also a laundry room which works with coins. The apartment is quite small but well planned. As it has 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, the apartment is obviously ideal for a family of 4 or two couples. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. We were 5 and it was not a problem at all for one of us to sleep on the sofa bed. The kitchen is very well and logically organised. We like to cook and found everything we needed in the apartment. There are also two comfortable armchairs with footrests, great for relaxing after a day of skiing. The balcony is spacious and probably great in the summertime. The view is beautiful too. The host is helpful and responds quickly to any questions. We did not explore the village very much but it seems very cute although maybe a little quiet for those who are looking for a vibrant ambience. There is a small shop 5-minute walk away where you can get basic groceries and order fresh bread and pastries for the following morning, and for bigger shopping trips you can drive down to Champéry, for example. We really enjoyed our week and would recommend staying at this apartment!

Michaela and Thomas are the best Hosts you can imagine. You can sit and chat with them for hours. They really created a welcoming an beautiful place

The location is so convenient and we were fortunate to have a room on the side of the building which enjoyed the most amazing views of the entire valley. I will always remember my stay here fondly and would absolutely stay here again if returning to the region in the future.

The chalet is very near to Linga lift. It is modern and new and bedding is included, just need to bring towels or rent at reception.

It is misrepresented on Booking . Com. It feels like you are booking two rooms whereas in reality we got a studio apartment with a sofa bed and a bunk bed in a corridor next to a toilet.

It is great to get to a wonderful place like this with a reasonable price. All works with the apartment.

When we arrived, there was a sign saying check-in was between 5pm and 7pm. We had a little wander around but didn’t find anyone, so we left our bags in the ski lockers and came back at 5pm. We were then greeted by a lovely gentleman who gave us the key and explained all the facilities. Our apartment was on the bottom floor in a separate building, connected by two lifts, and it was really easy to find. The room itself was comfortable, warm, and just right for three people (a couple and another adult). There was plenty of storage space and lots of glasses and cups. We didn’t cook during our stay, but the kitchenette had a coffee machine, kettle, microwave, and a double hob. One of the highlights was opening the back door to an amazing view over the valley — plus a perfect hill right outside for sledging. The ski lockers were really handy at the end of each day. We also used the swimming pool once in the evening, which was great. On departure day, our transfer wasn’t until around 2pm, and after checking out we were still able to use the pool — it was completely empty, which was a bonus. For check-out, you need to speak to the hotel staff during your stay to confirm the arrangements. I’d recommend bringing some cleaning wipes — I took a small sponge, cleaning wipes, during cloth, an old travel towel as hand towel and a bit of washing-up liquid after reading previous reviews, and it made things really easy, and I wasn't bringing any of it back in my.suitcase. You can rent towels/internet/TV, I think we only used internet once one night as due to low cloud we couldn't get signal. We took our own travel towels, so it wasn't needed. You’re asked to remove the bedding and leave it by the ski lockers, and to empty your bins. A quick clean with the hoover takes minutes. This isn't a hotel as such, but self accommodation, similar to air BnB. Emptying bins seems to be standard for the area, and you’ll see communal bins dotted around.
