Excellent location - very clean, comfortable and attractive accommodations. The property right in the center of Kastraki, near very good restaurants and a small, well-stocked grocery. We were happy we chose to stay in smaller Kastraki rather than larger Kalabaka. It's a quiet and charming small town, and Kalabaka is only a few minutes away by car if you need it. It's very well situated to tour all the monasteries and the surrounding area. We were able see some monasteries in the morning and come back to the apartment for lunch or a rest, and head out on the loop again for sunset. Nice walks are available nearby, and great views are right out your front door. Parking was convenient - right out front. Having a washing machine is great, we were happy to get to use our travel clothesline. Our host Katerina was especially kind and helpful, including when we unexpectedly needed an extra night due to illness. She brought our daughter fresh and eggs and juice and was truly kind, we'll never forget it.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The cozy apartment was impeccable, meticulously clean, and equipped with all the essentials. The thoughtful touches from the owners, such as providing coffee, juice boxes for the kids, water, and a variety of snacks, made our stay even more delightful. The location is superb, with restaurants and coffee shops just a short walk away, and hiking trails right at our doorstep. It was the perfect base for exploring Meteora!
