The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and chatty with everyone, she truly was a ray of sunshine :)) she gave us a lot of useful information abut hiking trails to Meteora too. The rooms were relatively chilly, considering the rather challenging temperatures of the Kalambaka summer heat, due to well functioning fans and a.c. The beds were cozy and comfortable. They also provide free towels for guests, and the bedrooms and restrooms were always squeaky clean and in great condition for a hostel! Kitchen and the communal places were also greatly equipped, and likewise clean.

During our holiday in Greece, we decidfed to make a daytrip to visit the Meteorons. We booked one night here, and this lovely little town just under the rocks. Fantastic! There are several hiking tours and you can spend a calm evening here. The apartment is big, we were four (2 kids) and it was more then enough. Everything was clean, beds are OK, bathroom is new. Very good for longer stays as well.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is outstanding. You are surrounded by the amazing cliffs of Meteora and you're just a few minutes by car to some of the ruins and all of the remaining monasteries still in operation. You can even walk to some of them if you wanted to. It's located in a quaint little village with a good selection of local restaurants (tavernas), small shops, and a bakery we visited daily. If you have a need for any bigger stores (e.g. Lidl), Kalabaka is about a 5 to 10-minute drive. The hosts were helpful and easily accessible. One was a gentleman we messaged with and he always responded very quickly. The other host was a very sweet woman who lived close by and always made sure we had everything we needed. Communication was always clear and friendly, and we felt very welcomed. We would love to stay here again if we ever return to this beautiful area!
