Self Catering Accommodation in Scheggia

Location was absolutely stunning. It was like staying in a treehouse. Lovely outside sitting area, shady and comfortable. We lived out here. Breakfast was amazing different every day, local produce and a lot of choice. Set us up for the day. Was a truly wonderful stay. Very tranquil. Would thoroughly recommend if you like quiet and off the beaten track. Thank you Carole.

Perfect location, beautiful garden

A luxury, fully equipped apartment on 2 floors in a magnificiently preserved 1300 palace located in the very centre of Gubbio old town, at a very reasonable price.

Lovingly restored, very cosy apartment, right on the outside of Gubbio’s walls, with free street parking out the front. Elisabetta is a wonderful host who does her outmost to make you feel comfortable. The apartment is beautifully furnished with some very special touches. We had a very lovely three day stay. Aldo and his lovely family were very welcoming, kind and friendly. The property was absolutely wonderful and very comfortable with fantastic views of the beautiful countryside and a super outdoor pool overlooking the peaceful hills all around. We appreciated the high quality of the internal decor, equipment and furnishings and the fly screens on the windows were effective. The included breakfasts were great with plenty of homemade preserves, yoghurts, fresh fruit, juices, a variety of milks, tea and coffee, sweet and savoury biscuits and nuts and the homecooked evening meal at extra cost was both deliciously superb and healthy. Also the water is potable which is very good, as in some other Agriturismo stays in Italy it is not and you have to buy bottled water. There was also an electric kettle, much appreciated by us Brits. The wifi was excellent too and Aldo and his wife speak very good English. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and natural environment of the location. There was both tranquility and privacy and also nicely presented communal areas for exercise/yoga, dining, games, swimming and reading. Gubbio is an amazingly historic town to visit with plenty to see and do and only a few minutes drive down the hill. We also drove to visit the stunning towns of Assisi and Perugia for day trips. You really need a car to stay here as there is a 3km track to drive along carefully to access the property but it is well worth it. Plenty of natural areas and paths for hiking nearby too. This was our favourite place to stay on our trip out of the four properties we stayed in and we would love to return. Thank you Aldo and family for such a lovely stay.

The place is located in a nice area with amazing view, the apartment was equipped with everything one may need, the bed and bedding were good also!
