10/10 stay with Bird Logg Amami. From the moment we arrived at our accommodation we felt comfortable. The cabin is clean, spacious and has a very nice atmosphere. The cooking and bathroom facilities are perfectly equipped and well thought out, making the stay very easy and relaxing. We stayed a total of six days and five nights, and wish we could have stayed longer! The washing machine and drier was a massive plus given our long stay and many trips to the beautiful ocean around the island.We appreciated the attention to detail. The trip was made incredible by the host Namibe and his family, who extended great hospitality. They were very kind and generous. During our stay Namibe ensured we ticked off all of the activities we wanted to do, including fishing, swimming with turtles and offered great local knowledge regarding which beaches to visit. Convenient location for access to airport, tatsugo, and northern areas. Very quiet and calm area. Kitchen has all the equipment you need to throw together a meal. Hosts were very kind!

Overall, we had an amazing stay, and it was very affordable, even during Golden Week. I highly recommend staying here. This gorgeous house is about a 15 minute drive from the airport. We had a group of 7 people and had plenty of space. The downstairs room has a double bed and 2 futons. I think there were 3 futons in each of the 2 upstairs rooms. The house has 1 bathroom downstairs next to the washer/dryer. There are 3 toilets - 1 in the downstairs bedroom, 1 near the entry, and 1 at the top of the stairs. The 7 of us fit comfortably around the dining table for meals. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and equipment. There is a fridge, microwave, stove, oven, electric kettle, and rice cooker. I recommend you look through the kitchen before buying some items, as we saw a lot of oil, sugar, and various sauces. There was also some plastic wrap and aluminum foil that we used. The house has gorgeous wood furniture and decorative carvings, which give a rich homey feeling. Since our flight arrived around 6pm, the host suggested we stop at the nearby grocery store to buy essentials since many places on the island close early. When we arrived at the house, the door was unlocked and we called the host for check-in. She gave us a quick tour of the facilities and was very helpful with beach and restaurant recommendations during our stay. The house also has an ice machine on the patio and air conditioners in several rooms. There's a small portable bbq in the back that is free to use, but we didn't have a chance to use it. The living room has an ornate wooden table that we used in the evenings to play games. There are some toys and books for children too, so it seems very family-friendly.

It’s a very unique property - to me looks like a hybrid of Airbnb and ryokan. The unit comes with kitchen and one bedroom, standing in front of the ocean. The unit has total 4 full size beds, so it was helpful for 3 adults. No staff is at the property, but the owner, Maruchi- san comes by and brings breakfast every morning. She is very attentive and friendly. Her handmade breakfast dishes are healthy, colorful and tasty!

I really liked the interior and overall atmosphere of the house, very well balanced mix of traditional high class Japanese furniture and top class amenities. Our stay was very comfortable and the terrace... An highly appreciated plus. The owners are such sweet and warm hearted people and I hope I ll have the opportunity of coming back here.
