3 story wooden home, but only have access to first & second. Our minivan Noah fit in the downstairs parking fine. First floor has only 2 beds, couch, coffee table, and refrigerator. 2nd floor had 2 beds, couch, coffee table, 3 sinks, toilets, bathroom, microwave, and hot water pot. Liked that there were 3 sinks, shelves on the wall for putting things, fancy lighting and light switches in the home. We were a group of 4 with 3 seniors, 2 of them just stayed upstairs the entire stay, only came down when ready to leave. Temperature was 40sF, portable heaters were provided upstairs & down. A/C downstairs only. Lots of plugs in the wall. Nice shower & tub. It has both standing & sitting toilets. Beautifully modernized home. Stairs not steep and narrow like traditional Japanese home. Glad they provided microwave & water pot. Can’t cook here. No TV, no Wifi. Good for doing getaway from the world; just relaxing beach view, and sleeping. You should arrive before sunset because that’s what this place is known for.

The house is beautiful, and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The check in process was easy and informative. I enjoyed having access to a full kitchen. I stayed in two different rooms- I would recommend the one-bed that is adjacent to a garden, very beautiful. This place is especially perfect for solo travellers and couples wanting to keep it low-key, since the walls are made from traditional Japanese paper and sound does travel.
