Self-Catering Accommodations in Takayama

Literally next door to the bus/train station. Very spacious room. Good washer/dryer inside the room. Comfy beds.

The rooms in this hotel are very good and the staff here is very friendly.🫶🏻

They seem to be going the extra mile to be liked. Clean, good location, free stuff (laundry, drinks), very good breakfast (yakatori, ice cream), large room, string shower, even Netflix for teens (don't worry, they still had to do a full hike to the top of the vulkano). Recommended.

Space is super cozy and home like

Spacious room and helpful staff

It is a great place to stay. A whole house to your self. Beautiful layout and interior. Inside and outside bath and bathroom. well equipped kitchen. The location is close to the trainstation (which we didn't travel with) And the old town. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Great communication whith the host in terms of instructions and time to reply. All in all a lovely place.

Good location,my client like your decoration like ikea😂😂😂

The breakfast was fantastic, and the location was excellent. Almost everything was provided—including laundry supplies, hangers, towels, and even yukatas for after showering.

Great starting location for Nakasendo hike. Spacious apartment with all the necessary amenities. Very good breakfast. Hosts were helpful to accommodate our request for early breakfast.

Turned the heater on before our arrival. Gave travel tips and information. Nice authentic experience. Private, quiet and scenic location. Wonderful mountain views. Roomy. Great amenities. Awesome Town.

We loved everything about this house! It is beautiful, it had everything our family of four needed, and it is walking distance to many temples and other sites around the walking course. We've been traveling around Japan for about a month and this is by far the best place we've stayed. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The Host was fantastic and the meal she prepared for us was our favourite!! Clean and spacious.

Was great, location wise great, rooms great, no complaints whatsoever. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

The facilities are good—nothing fancy, just comfortable. Plus, it’s close to a supermarket and local shops. While it’s not right in the thick of the most crowded tourist areas, it’s still close enough to get around by walking or hopping on a bus easily. Best of all, this location gives you plenty more chances to dive into real local life.

The location, the villa is reall big and can acommodate many people. Second floor and 3rd floor have also a smal living room . The ground floor living room is huge and it is great for a family. They had several heaters as the temperature was low and they were necessary. 2 bathrooms with toilets.

This private condo is fantastic! It's huge by Japanese standards, well equipped with everything you need, and it's super close to the main walking street with tons of food options and shopping.

The location of this house is exceptional. The kitchen is functional and the washer/dryer was very useful for our family. We easily walked through Takayama. If you enjoy antique shopping, you will love Takayama.

Near shopping street, have watching machine easy to use.

Authentic and charming Japanese home. Lovely countryside getaway. Really lovely host. My family really enjoyed the charm of this beautiful home. Particularly as we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves on this occasion. Very lucky indeed. Beautiful lounge/kitchen. Lovely views. Very relaxing stay.

Beautiful minimalist and traditional aesthetic. Loved it all! Most beautiful place I've stayed in. The heater under the table was great. The beds were extremely comfortable and warm!

nice clean pretty house. very walkable to nearest train station.

Everything was amazing. The staff was absolutely delightful. The bath was the best I've had so far in Japan. All the facilities were just really great. Joining in the morning prayer was an experience everyone should have at least once. If you're ik Takayama, make sure to stay here.

If you have a car and/or a family, then it's a must especially when compared (in terms of space, value, and amenities) to the hotel options around train station and tourist attractions. Kids and dad really enjoyed the complimentary firewood (bonfire, but there's a fee for extra wood) and BBQ grill (charcoal briquettes). Very spacious (indoor and outdoor), nicely designed, and just comfortable. A fridge full of complimentary drinks was the cherry on top! It was so good, we (2 adults and 3 young kids) stayed an extra night (we were planning our holiday a day or two at a time).

Very Spacious, best for younger who can share large area comfortably, mountain view, grocery and taxi nearby

The staff is so kind. He allow me to use the parking after the check-out time. The house is super cozy. There is everything you want for cooking. if I go to Takayama, I will stay here again for sure.

Great location about 10-15 min walk from train station. Included shared washer/dryer. Big open space compared to smaller business hotels.

We loved our stay here! It was very clean and spacious. It’s in a great location near the train station and downtown area but along a calm street. It had everything we needed. The host was very kind and communicative. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The place was great! It is located in a central place in Takayama, 10 min walking from many restaurants, bars, kombinis, and many other attractions. Communication with the host was flawless and pretty straight forward. The place is great! Very clean and comfortable.
