The room was super fresh and clean, comfortable bed with nice view! From 3 minutes walk from the centre of Ella and super quiet! Having nice birds and them song in the terazza before my room. The room was very spacious and clean. The hosts (family business) treated us like their family. Food was delicious, we had breakfast and dinner all days here. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Cinnamon River Cabana in Ella. It’s a relatively new property set in a beautiful location right next to a stream, which made the whole experience very peaceful and refreshing. The constant sound of flowing water and birds chirping created a truly relaxing atmosphere. The cabana itself is thoughtfully designed, clean, and comfortable. It felt cozy while still having everything we needed. The property is about a 5-minute walk downhill from the main road, but the owners were very helpful with luggage, so it wasn’t a hassle at all. One of the highlights was the food—they prepare lunch and dinner on request, and it genuinely felt like home-cooked meals. Overall, a lovely stay in nature with warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ella.

Perfect spot in Ella! The beds are dreamy, the views are postcard-worthy, and the breakfast is fresh and filling. The owner’s generosity made it a true delight.

The location is amazing and the views from the bedroom is fantastic We woke up and were able to watch the sunrise which was very special. It’s a short walk to little Adam’s peak and nine arches bridge. The owners were beyond kind and helpful to us, we had laundry done which was so helpful and they helped us organise our onward travel. The food at breakfast was great and they also do dinner at the restaurant at the bottom of the property All in all we loved our stay and wish it was longer then 1 night, we’ll be back, thank you!

We had the most amazing stay at Wood Heart. The host family are such lovely people and went above and beyond to make our stay special - including organising a birthday cake for my partner. The food was beautiful with a different breakfast each day and the view from the rooms balcony was both stunning and private. On top of that, they let us go up on the (flat and walkable) roof in the morning/evenings and put chairs up there for us to watch the best sunrise/sunsets I’ve seen in a long time. Room is very spacious and the location is super handy for a quick stroll along the train tracks towards town or the other way towards Ella rock. Couldn’t recommend this place more! Thank guys!!

It’s a small and cozy hostel, perfect to chill, and relax while you explore Ella. The location is perfect. The breakfast is really good and Kasun (the host) helps you with everything within his reach.

This place is a gem! 😊 The views are stunning, and I wish we could stay longer. The room is comfortable, clean, and bright. We had the apartment on the top. It exceeded our expectations. The staff was very kind and friendly, always smiling and happy to help. We also had a chance to be part of morning chanting and meditation with the Monk, which was amazing. Breakfasts and dinners are also great. The location is perfect as you can get to ella along the train tracks in no time. Our best stay in Ella! Thank you very much 🙏❤️

The mattresses are very good and comfortable. The hot water is really appreciated. The location is unbeatable, very close to everything but without being in the middle of the noise. The place is super clean. And what can I say about Indika’s family… I would stay and live with them. They are wonderful, good people with unbeatable kindness and great vibes. Always with a smile. The place has such a healthy, positive energy. I think it’s the best place I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. 11/10

We had an incredible stay at Aloft View. The staff are really friendly and Lakmali is just wonderful. She gave us great tips on where to go and what to do. Such great value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at Birdy Retreat in Ella. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed very warmly and immediately felt at home. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, always taking the time to answer all our questions and making sure we had everything we needed. At one point our charging cable broke, and he even went to the next town to get a new one for us, which we really appreciated. He also helped us arrange a tuk-tuk whenever we needed one and shared many interesting insights about Ella and the surrounding area. We also joined the cooking class, which was a great experience. The room was spotless and had everything we could wish for. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast served on our private balcony every morning. The location is perfect - only about a five-minute walk to the center of Ella, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful at night, which made sleeping very comfortable. We truly felt very welcome and relaxed during our stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent stay at this hotel and I’m really happy with my booking. The location is perfect—very convenient and easy to reach, with everything nearby. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast; it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and had a great variety.

Simple, clean and functional room with all you need for your stay in Ella. It's a short drive to town. Chandika, our host, made us feel safe and prepared a great dinner and breakfast for us. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Awesome nice little gem in Ella. The owerns are the definition of kindness. The room was very clean and neat. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits, omelette, coco pancakes and so on.

The owners are amazing people. So friendly! I had the mountain view appartement. It has a small kitchen if you want to cook. Or drink coffee of tea. The view is amazing and the breakfast is served on the private porch. Breakfast has everything: juice, coffee or tea, dahl, omelette, coconut pancakes, fruit, bread, jam and butter. (See picture)

Wow! Saying just one thing is difficult. The location is just incredible, you will just listen the sound of nature. The owners of the hotel are an amazing family. They will help you in everything you may need. The food is also amazing. Here we had the best breakfast so far in our trip in Sri Lanka. I will definitely come back to this hotel one day.

It was a really free and comfortable stay. Also, the staff provided us with very friendly service. They informed us about the places to visit from the accommodation. Wow what a relaxing stay. Reasonable value for much comfortable A frame cabin with two air conditioners, hotwater showers, fans, small kitchen, internet facilities, TV, comfortable sofa and two large beds, etc. Also room is large and everything is new and clean. That's awesome. Stunning and lovely location over fields in Ella. Absolutely kind and helpful staff and I really like to balcony view of the cabin. because it has fantastic view over the valleys include Ella rock and Ravana waterfall. So peaceful and relaxing sitting outside of the cabin. Also I most likely thing was watch the sunrise over Ella rock from the balcony on morning. It was amazing experience. The cabin can be reached easily by TukTuk and you can also walk next to the rail to Ella center in less than 10 minutes. Also breakfast was delicious and homemade. So we enjoyed our stay in Grand Cabin.
