A wonderful place with a fantastic view. The room is clean, with a kettle, a large bed with a comfortable mattress, and a hot shower. The hospitable family will prepare a delicious breakfast or dinner upon request. There are cooking facilities. The location is within walking distance of the center of Haputale. There are plenty of hiking opportunities in the surrounding area with beautiful views. I booked three nights and have since extended my stay by four. Thumb Up Family Rest is a place where I feel at home, thanks to the lovely couple. Highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful 16-day vacation in a very peaceful and relaxing environment.Home from away Home. The owner & his family are very friendly & kind people. They took care of everything we needed & fulfilled it very responsibly. They were even more enthusiastic about our food, drinks and travel than we were.Their food is delicious, there is no argue about it. They also took us to see the Namunukula Mountains ( Naamunukula hill top ) The trip was very beautiful. It was a unique experience for us. We were able to relax to our hearts content due to the very eco-friendly environment.Mr. Thushara & his wife Devika graciously entertained us with all the amenities. The most beautiful days we spent were unforgettable days at Ceylon Shadow. Even though the vacation period was over, we did not feel like going home, we were so sad to leave 🥺.. So Highly recommend to all nationality ceylon shadow Diyathalawa the best place to relax & enjoy your short or long holiday ♥️🌿 surely We are come back our next vacation too ... ♥️🥰🫰🌿

Lovely room, location was beautiful with lush mountain views and the family that reside the home are such lovely people. Breakfast was amazing as well - we highly recommend the sri lankan breakfast. We had such a great stay here. Highly recommended.

An absolutely amazing place! A luxurious, beautifully designed house right in the middle of the jungle. The surroundings are stunning — lots of wildlife around, and monkeys often visit the terrace, which was such a unique experience. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you need. There’s a beautiful waterfall nearby where you can swim — highly recommended! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There’s a butler living in the apartment below the house who takes care of everything, and a cook who prepares delicious meals. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a high standard of comfort, this is the perfect place. Truly unforgettable!

The staff were very helpful. The location is very scenic & peaceful location though driving to the cottage was nerve racking due to the narrow stoney road

Very friendly staff, always ready to be helping out with transport, delicious food cooked from fresh ingredients. I initially booked for 2 nights but didn’t want to leave and stayed for 2 more. Easy to walk to the waterfall bottom or top. Pool by the bungalow wash great to refresh after exploring the nearby towns and mountains.

We spent 2 nights at Gold Field Villa and had a very good experience. The family is genuinely nice and was great with our two young kids, even teaching them some cricket and taking them for a quick ride on their scooter, which they really enjoyed. The house is surrounded by nature, so it was nice to see monkeys and squirrels around, and it also has a beautiful view of the area. It’s conveniently located near the waterfall trails. The food was tasty and felt like a proper home-cooked meal. It's a simple, honest place that we would recommend if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere in Koslanda.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Nature Lodge Bandarawela! The place exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s a perfect home away from home with everything thoughtfully provided. The lodge comes with a fully equipped kitchen—complete with kitchenware, spices, and all the essentials, making it easy and convenient to prepare meals. There’s a cozy living area with a TV, fridge, and a comfortable sofa bed, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. The bedroom is spacious, featuring a double bed and a bunk bed, perfect for couples, families or groups. The bathroom has hot water, and the entire property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. A special thanks to Mr. Lal, who made our stay extra special. Every morning, he served a delicious breakfast right on time, and was always kind, helpful, and ready to assist with anything we needed. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and we truly appreciated the peace of mind provided by the CCTV cameras around the property—it's very secure, so there’s no need to worry. Overall, this place is absolutely worth the money. It’s a peaceful, clean, and welcoming environment. We highly recommend Nature Lodge to anyone visiting Bandarawela!

We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Bandarawela for the second time, and it was just as amazing as the first! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the host, who truly made us feel at home. The hospitality here is unmatched, with the host going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The cottage itself is cozy and feels like a home away from home – perfect for a relaxing getaway. We initially planned a shorter stay but ended up staying more than 5 days because we enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, homely stay in Bandarawela. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Very nice place with many little nooks and corners with nice couches to relax and read a book. Comfortable bedrooms and breakfast options. We used this as a base to travel to ella by train, The staff are extremely helpful I wanted some steam to inhale, they organised the steam and also offered some herbs to add to the steam. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Very good tasty breakfast. Calm and quiet location. It is excellent for family stay. Niluka and husband was very friendly and helpful. It is is a perfect bungalow. We will stay again there next time when I go to Bandarawela. Hospitality at very best.
