I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel set right in the middle of lush paddy fields, and it was an unforgettable experience. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and the sight of vibrant green fields stretching in every direction felt incredibly calming. We even had peacocks wandering nearby every day — such a magical touch you rarely get anywhere else. The views were stunning from morning to sunset from the balcony, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every meal tasted fresh and full of authentic Sri Lankan flavour. The host was amazing too — warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed, making the stay feel more like visiting a friend’s home than a hotel. If you’re looking for peace, natural beauty, and genuine hospitality, this place is perfect. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone travelling in Sri Lanka! 🌾🦚✨

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Carmen in Weligama. The property has recently been renovated and reopened, and both the garden and the rooms are absolutely beautiful. The bathrooms have not yet been renovated, but they were very clean and everything worked perfectly fine. What truly made our stay special was the service and the food. The entire staff genuinely went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Carmen prepared the most delicious breakfasts and was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and attentive throughout our stay. The hospitality went above and beyond expectations. The hotel manager even took us to Hiriketiya by tuk tuk on his day off, which says everything about the level of care and kindness we experienced here. Thank you so much to the whole team at Casa Carmen for the lovely days. We would absolutely love to come back.

Great people and a lot of fun!

I stayed for a week & it felt like a little home. ☺️ The room is very spacious with a big table and kitchen area - like a studio. Internet was also great so I was able to work a bit. Great location in the heart of Weligama with restaurants and beach close by. I rented a bike for a few days from there and organised a taxi to the airport too. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, I felt very safe and comfortable. Top communication on WhatsApp with quick responses. Would definitely book again. ☺️ thank you 🙏

This place was truly the highlight of our entire trip and that was all because of the hosts. From the moment we arrived, they treated us like family. Their kindness, warmth, and genuine care made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond in every possible way. Whenever we were hungry, they prepared food for us, always with a smile. Nothing was ever too much to ask, whether it was salt and pepper while cooking or yogurt we needed, everything was arranged immediately and with such generosity. The villa itself is wonderful: two separate, comfortable rooms and a fully equipped kitchen where you can easily prepare your own meals. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up. This stay left a lasting impression on us. We didn’t just stay somewhere; we felt welcomed, cared for, and truly appreciated. We will without a doubt come back here again. Highly, highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at Eco Brics Ahangama! The villa is cozy, beautifully maintained, and clean. The owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was not only delicious but also more than enough to start our day off right. Highly recommend this charming spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay in Ahangama. Would love to return!

Absolutely everything. We felt like we’d arrived to a house of an interior design magazine. The guys were incredible, outstanding breakfasts and evening meals. Marie the dog was just super chilled and loved a belly rub Great location. 20min walk to a nearby village and we saw a wedding festival being prepared with elephants too!! You absolutely gotta stay here

The villa has balconies overlooking a beautiful lake. It is a short drive from the busy towns of Ahangama and Weligama so a welcome place to retreat to. It was beautifully peaceful. The beds were comfy, it was very clean and had some lovely touches like tasteful garden lighting. The hosts were really helpful and kind - organising scooters for us and showing us the best bakeries and shopping spots. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. I already miss the view!

We had a fantastic stay at The Castle in Weligama. We absolutely loved the house, and the location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and relaxing, yet only a five-minute tuk-tuk ride to the beaches. Communication was excellent; if we needed anything, help was just a WhatsApp message away. Housekeeping was outstanding—linen was changed every three days with a full clean, and the outdoor areas were cleaned and maintained daily, which really made a difference. We would definitely recommend this place for families. The pool was a huge hit and kept everyone happy. We felt very safe throughout our stay, and the setting was incredibly peaceful, surrounded by lots of natural and wild plants, which added to the charm. A wonderful place to stay—we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you.

Everything about this villa is perfect. The attention to detail is crazy! The bedrooms are spacious with your own private bathroom, the kitchen area has everything you need, the grounds are big and the area is quiet! You have a nice sized pool, with another outdoor shower and toilet. So many beautiful plants in the garden and even fans outside so when you are making use of the outside area you can still keep cool. The location is a little out the way, but we knew that and had scooters so getting about it was actually a great location as we wanted to be between Ahangama and Mirissa, both of which were a 15 mins drive. The pictures do it no justice, it’s stunning and the communication before and during was 10/10. Manju is extremely helpful and arranged a scooter for me for my arrival. He was always on hand for any questions or to support in any way at all. I would absolutely love to return to this gorgeous place.

I had a wonderful stay at Lumora. The place is very calm and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I truly enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend Lumora to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.
