We came early morning and they allowed us to check in before the time, The hotel is quite and decent.

Fantastic staff and really beautiful place

The cosiest and most beautiful stay in Amsterdam. Check in was smooth; Host greeted us and let us settle. we didn’t bump into the family at all, so although the homestead is connected to the property, it definitely feels like your own little home. The space was open and versatile; access to microwave and a portable stovetop was great. the shower was AMAZING and the bed was honestly the comfiest bed we’ve slept in on our European travels. the fire place was a cherry on top! the location was great, with easy access to public transport, it made it easier to explore all parts of Amsterdam. overall, couldn’t recommend this homestead enough- you can not get a better price for this quality accomodation.

The room was excellent with plenty of space to spread out, the window sill was perfect to sort out packing. Access to public transport was fantastic, Train, Tram, Bus and Metro within 200m

Is near the red district, the apartment is in different building behind the main hotel, since is an old building the place doesn’t have stairs but the staff help us really appreciate. The apartment is really convenient and comfortable. Also you can wash clothes. You can take the boat tour just in front of the building. Near restaurant and supermarkets and popular spots If you doesn’t want to be close to the coffee shops is not your place (but doesn’t affect any sounds at night the apartment is really quiet) Travel with my daughter of 3 years old. Everything!!! The house was perfect, the owner, Jaap, personally received us, showed us around the house, gave us suggestions as to things to do and even gave us a ride to the local market. Jaap, is very responsive and friendly and his house is fully equipped and cozy. The local bus stop is just a couple of steps from the house and there is a local rest/bar right next door.

Beautiful property, close enough to Amsterdam if you need to be there but far enough away to really enjoy the quiet countryside.

We had a lovely stay at this charming house located in a peaceful neighborhood just outside Amsterdam. It’s close to some great tourist attractions like Zaanse Schans and Volendam, and the surrounding views are absolutely stunning. The area is super quiet—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house itself is very bright and airy, especially during the long summer days. However, keep in mind that there are no blackout curtains or shutters, which can make sleeping a bit challenging after sunrise. Also, while the listing says it’s a two-bedroom apartment, it’s actually a one-bedroom house with a bed on an open mezzanine level. The layout is more like a converted stable, full of character but not ideal if you’re expecting two fully private bedrooms. That said, the host was incredibly responsive and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return—just be aware of the unique setup!

Peaceful country setting. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Newly remodelled bathroom. The host served a lovely breakfast. Miriam also picked us up from the train station and delivered us back to Amsterdam the next day for a nominal fee. Far less than what a taxi would have charged us. She went above and beyond.

My wife & I travel and work each year in Europe for 3 months as photo tour guides. The Stables is the perfect base for getting over jet lag and exploring the region. This apartment was one of the best experiences for us in all our years of travel in Europe. So quiet and comfortable...very well done. The hosts, Margo and Martijn are delightful. You can't go wrong with booking this place.

We stayed for 12 days at this lovely little farmhouse in Ilpandem, 12 minutes from Amsterdam. It was the perfect place to come 'home' to after busy days in the city. We explored the beautiful countryside by bike, dined with the locals in town and took in the relaxed surroundings. The farmhouse was well-equipped, cozy and spacious with friendly, attentive owners.
