We like every single detail of the house.. the views from the window over the ocean and mountains.. the sunset.. the house itself have everyrthing you need.. very comfortable.. very quiet and privet.. really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it to everyone...

The setting is magical, at the base of a stoic mountain with big views of the surrounding landscape. The lodge is spacious, yet cozy, and very well designed - we really enjoyed the peaceful space and setting during our stay. We also appreciated the available laundry machine, as well as the lodge’s proximity to a wonderful restaurant where we had an excellent meal :)

Such an amazing set up: small comfortable room and you can go into the living room/kitchen which has a host of facilities. Loved the large glass windows. I wish we could have stayed longer! I know now that this will be a must come-to during the summer months. We got a bit lucky in how we had the whole cabin to ourselves (there are 3 rooms that all share a kitchen/common area; I'm sure it can be tons of fun getting to know other guests whenever they are there).

This stay was simply magical. The Saltery is part of a renovated historical building managed by our amazing host (and generally an amazing human), Aaslaug, from Villa Lofoten. Aaslaug went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We were also fortunate to join a tour of the other buildings, where we learned about the rich history of this formerly abandoned conservation area in the fishing village of Kleivan. The Saltery has been beautifully restored and fully adapted for a comfortable stay, while preserving the integrity of its original structure. Many interior pieces were handmade with love and care, each with its own history. You can see that Aaslaug put her heart and soul into this place. The nearby Soleng farm is adorable, and I highly recommend trying the restaurant. The location is perfect — you can easily explore the rest of the island from here while enjoying absolute peace and tranquility (and if you're lucky, you might even get visited by an otter). In the surrounding area, there is a beautiful but slightly challenging hike, as well as some easier walks. I can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for everything!

Everything was great! We're very satisfied with our stay.

The kitchen is big and there is a microwave. There is a movable heater which we can bring from one room to another room. Although it's far from the town, but only 10 min driving, It's completely dark at night, such a good place to see northern light. Unfortunately, the night I stayed was rainy.
