David and his team were very kind and helpful, always there to advise us if we had any questions concerning our ongoing trip in the Azores. The breakfasts and the diner we had were excellent. Mr. Machado, we will be posting the following review on the booking, but wanted to let you know before hand. On July 1st. Mr. Machado met us to show us the apartment and give us the key. The apartment is very clean and has all the amenities needed. We knew it had stairs but in his description “upper floors accessible by stairs only” is not clear that to access the bathroom from the bedroom , you need to go down stairs. We only stayed one night due to the bathroom being on the floor below the bedroom. This configuration is a hardship for elder people as well as for children. We will not recommend this facility and Mr. Machado refuses to refund any of the 958.00 euros. John & Fatima Mendes

Beautiful views and well appointed to relax after exploring the island. The home is located in one of the Fajas, about 10 minutes from the main road. Paula was very helpful during our stay. The views from the balcony area were amazing!

The remote location provided a compelling reason for mindful relaxation! My hosts provided a basket of goodies! Fresh bread, honey, local pastry, bananas from a neighbor’s trees and eggs from their own chickens! There’s a view of the immense mountain on Pico and the secluded faja below, as well as a colorful sunset and the sparkling sea! There are many windows with screens so the breeze can flow throughout the cozy cottage without welcoming any bugs…the occasional turkey gobble, rooster crow and goose honks are a pleasant reminder of a rural stay! Dan and Cidalena thought of everything to make me feel at home…I hope to return one day soon!
