I booked one night in a cabin to extend our stay in Karlstad – to be honest I wish I had booked this place for all the three days we were there. The cabin was surprisingly large, immaculately clean, well equipped and the kids loved having their own rooms. It was the clear winner of all the places we stayed on this trip, and the coastline within a couple of minutes' walk is lovely with several wild swimming locations. The large terrace with table and chairs was super, too.

It's a cute little tiny house right at the lake. You'll be staying in a small but very comfortable place. There are two sleeping areas. One on the ground floor, the other one can be reached by a ladder, right under the roof of the house. A comfortable couch is inviting visitors to stay and watch the sun go down, the waves of the lake hit the shore, or the rain quietly dripping down on the porch. The kitchen is well equipped.
