It is a pleasure to eat in the front of a big window with the view to the all greenery around.

I stayed at Hostel Charino during my Camino Portugués Coastal Route walk, and without a doubt, it was the best of all 11 hostels I stayed in along the way. Honestly, it even beats some hotels I’ve stayed at in the past. It completely exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect—right in the center of Pontevedra’s Old Town, with cafés, bakeries, and little shops just steps away. The hostel itself is super clean, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. You can really feel that it’s looked after with care. And a huge bonus—free washer and dryer! That’s a total lifesaver when you’ve been walking for days and living out of a backpack! Also, every bathroom has shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner already provided, which might seem like a small thing, but for women walking the Camino, it’s important! It’s the little details like this that make a big difference! And then there’s breakfast… Every morning, the owner’s lovely mother prepared a delicious, homemade breakfast, including the most perfect pie, so comforting and just what you need with a hot cup of coffee before heading back on the trail. That pie honestly deserves its own review! But what truly makes this place unforgettable is the owner. He’s one of those rare people who makes you feel genuinely welcome and looked after. Always smiling, always ready to help, and going above and beyond with everything. Staying here didn’t feel like just booking a bed—it felt more like visiting a good friend who really cares about your journey and wants you to be comfortable and happy. I wholeheartedly recommend Hostel Charino to anyone visiting Pontevedra—whether you’re walking the Camino, sightseeing, or just passing through. You’ll find warmth, peace, comfort, and a very special kind of hospitality that stays with you long after you leave.

Had an excellent stay during Camino! The place was exactly as described, very clean and friendly, with all the amenities promised. Definitely worth the value. Highly recommend!
