The atmosphere at the hostel was warm and welcoming, thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. They were always ready to help and made us feel at home. We also booked their Bromo tour, which was well organized and a great experience. Everything went smoothly, and we truly enjoyed it. A perfect place to stay highly recommended!

ZZZ Ijen Hostel está ubicado en Banyuwangi, a 15 km de Watu Dodol, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis y una terraza. I loved basically everything about this property! Great location, very clean, comfy room with aircon, well priced, extremely friendly and helpful staff. You can buy food/snacks for a reasonable price and they have free coffee and tea as well as hot and cold filtered water. Has a nice little balcony where you can watch the rain. Not incredibly social, but it’s also off season so I can’t imagine there would be anywhere more social in the area to be honest. Was clear about the fact that the blue fire at Ijen would not be available the days we were there and the staff was not pushy at all about buying tours, just very helpful. Honestly one of the best price to experience ratios I’ve ever gotten at a hostel, and the perfect place to chill or prepare for a hike. Also one of the cutest cats I’ve ever seen if my life lives here, she is friendly and very funny.

Property, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were super clean. Bed and AC were comfortable. We booked the Ijen tour with the host Johan and had a great experience. Price seemed fair. We got helpful recommendations from Johan's nephew for local spots. Johan offers other tours we wished we could have taken advantage of (but we had to move on to our next destination). We'd stay here again!

Perfect location, the building has amazing facilities (kids playground, multiple pools, gym, sauna), and the location is fantastic! Safe and quiet but still close to the city, a gorgeous seaside mall (PIK Avenue) and lots of food options. I highly recommend the sea view options! We were onto here for a short rest stop before our next flight to Bali but enjoyed our stay so much we are considering coming back to Jakarta a little early to explore the area more :)
