The AC kept the room cool, the bed was comfy, and towels were provided. We used the shared kitchen to make noodles, and the location was good — short walk to cafés and mini markets. Super chill vibe.

The atmosphere at this hostel is soooo cozy! The staff is incredibly friendly, always making sure you feel welcome. The private rooms are well-designed and have everything you need. We also loved the kitchen, which was fully equipped for cooking. We booked a shuttle to Banyuwangi through them, and the process was smooth. Would definitely recommend! :)

Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was clean, cozy and nice to be outside of the main centre but with easy access by foot or grab.. The hosts are very nice and they even gave us little Indonesian pancakes for breakfast which was a nice surprise.

The family who run Mocca are amazing they booked our trip to Mount Ijen, picked us up from the train station and organised our transport to Denpasar airport in Bali. The rooms are very big with a comfy big bed and a really nice modern bathroom. The breakfast is also great and they even made us a packed breakfast to take with us when we had to leave at 4am for the airport. Cannot recommend this place enough!!! 😊

I loved our (short) stay. The room was simple but with a cool vibe and clean. We had private bathroom and AC. No hot shower but it was ok. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. She spoke great English, helped with our onward trip to Bali and answered all our questions. We also took a shared trip to Ijen which was great (small group, good guide, all nicely organized and good price). They were so nice that they returned money when one of us had to cancel last minute. We also got great breakfast in the morning (egg sandwich, fresh fruits, coffee and a cake). Would totally recommend this place

The name is correct— it IS a gem!!! The moment we arrived Erika warmly greeted us with a fresh dragon fruit juice. The room is SO luxurious, the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, ever. The gardens are lush, the river is clean and the area is so spiritual and relaxing. We spent so much time at the pool swimming, reading, meditating. The owners are so lovely. Marc taught us many things about Java and about life. We appreciated his conversations. Happy to call them friends. Special shout out to young Rico!!! The chef of the house!! Amazing home cooked meals, the best we’ve had in our trip through Indonesia. Thank you Rico you smashed it and you have a great future ahead.
