Berunes is a historic, family-run farm by the Ring Road, 35 km from Djúpivogur, quietly set on a fjord between mountains and sea. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. We did the ring road while driving in Iceland and we booked seven places where we stayed. Out of these 7 places I have to say that Berunes was by far the best one. It was an amazing experience and the host is super friendly and helpful. But the reason why we liked Berunes the most was because it was a step back in time. The house where we stayed was built in the 1900s and the furniture is rustic but there are all the facilities needed. We are a family of four and we had two separate rooms and a private bathroom. Just next to the house there is a small church and also a restaurant. The restaurant was closed at the time of our visit, in April, but they will open it in summer. The landscape surrounding the hostel is also amazing. There is a lake in front of the house and the mountain at the back. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and spend some enjoyable time in the middle of nature.

I Egilsstaðir, 5,8 kilometer fra Hengifoss og 45 kilometer fra Kirkjufoss, ligger Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses. Everything, the place it’s awesome and beautiful. Isabel was great host.

Undiraldan - Steinholt, old music school ligger i Seyðisfjörður, bare 3,8 kilometer fra Gufu Waterfall, og har utsikt over sjøen, gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. This is a cute one bedroom. The upstairs has a couch that you could sleep on but no dark out curtains and the kitchen we cooked in. Downstairs has two twin beds and full bed. The bathroom has a washer: dryer combo. This was our mid trip laundry stop. The town is cute and walkable.

Amazing place, delicious welcome cookies, exceptional decoration, friendly staff, amazing view, high-end furniture, very comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

The house has several good points, including house is quiet and clean, shower water is strong enough, having free parking space beside the house. However, it would be convenient when providing a washing machine.

By far the best appartment we had during the trip. There's just everything you need inside. Beds are really confortable. Location is ideal.

Incredibly comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment! We wanted for nothing during our visit, and Helga and her husband were the perfect hosts, making sure we had everything we needed and helping us navigate the weather disruption and travel situation.

I Starmýri ligger Starmýri 2 Cottages, som har gratis WiFi og boenheter med utsikt over fjellet. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. From start to finish the hosts made everything easy. The cottage itself is gorgeous keeping a cozy feel whilst being modern. When we arrived it was warm and exceptionally clean. The loft bedroom was a perfect den for our Son and the view out of all the big windows was the cherry on top.
