We loved everything especially HANAKO who checked us in who gave amazing service. All the staff were fabulous but she was a standout. The rooms were large by Japanese standards and very comfortable. The breakfast was great. Absolutely highly recommended probably the best accommodation we stayed at in our two week visit, we had rooms on the same floor as we were two friends Travel.

The tourist bus service in Kanazawa from train station dropped off us off close to the apartment. We liked using the washing machine and the quick drying room. Also very large shower/bath room and nice little kitchen with lots of dishes. The tatami mat area with futons and small table was a hit with the grandkids. (who knew they had to be quiet due to it being a quiet home) We felt that after being greeted by a "hostess" at the main door at the agreed upon time, that we were in good hands in case we needed to contact them for anything.... which we did not...

Situated in Kanazawa, in a historic building, 2.7 km from Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Machiya Kenroku is a holiday home with a garden and shared lounge. The host (Hitty) was there in person to welcome us and to provide info on the house and on Kanazawa. He has been extremely kind and available, and we felt as we were guests in a friend's home. The house is wonderful and full of history having been the house of a samurai (as Hitty explained us) but is also well equipped, well kept and clean. Highly recommended, for sure the best and the most welcoming host I have met in several years.
