They make you feel welcome and I felt I could approach them about anything The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen may just be better stocked than any other hostel kitchen I have seen in all my travels. Surf board rentals are affordable and calculated by day so if the more you surf the more value you get. Speaking of surfing, the location just across the street is perfect. It's very shallow and sandy so no coral reefs or anything dangerous you'd have to watch out for. Perfect for someone who is just starting out

Located in Gokase, 47 km from Mount Aso, Guesthouse EL CAMPO features a bar and views of the mountain. This guest house provides free private parking and bicycle parking. Accomodation was a beautiful log cabin in the Miyazaki countryside! The facilities were clean and modern, and the bed was so comfortable!! There were so many thoughtful touches, like having spare pairs of crocs outside the cabin, having salt and cooking oil in the kitchen, having tea and coffee sachets. You can also park directly in front of your cabin which is very convenient. We reserved the course dinner offered by the host and it was delicious!! The host was also the chef (and the bartender) and we had a great time chatting to him in English and Japanese about the locally sourced ingredients and his very well-stocked bar. Thanks for such a lovely night Keita!! Next time we will need to stay even longer, so we can use the fireplace and enjoy more of the peaceful countryside. We had a wonderful stay, highly recommend El Campo.

Offering free WiFi and free private parking, The triangle hub Miyazaki is located in Miyazaki, within just 1.4 km of Miyazaki Station. This is the best apartment that I have stayed in my 2-week vacation in Kyushu. Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 night (original was 2 nights) as our flight from Yakushima island was cancelled due to bad weather. Rather than flying, we took the Toppy jetfoil. Host was kind enough to adjust our stay from 2 nights to 1 night. This place has everything and better amenities/facilities than hotels. Very good experience.

Container was retrofitted with very modern facilities, with enough space for two to stay comfortably. Amenities were also provided, including cutlery, crockery, and equipment to make drip coffee. Best part of the stay was the outdoor area with bbq pit and sauna. The staff were very kind in helping us to start the fire ahead of time so that we could start barbecuing once we got back with the ingredients.
